Oddly or maybe not so oddly, these thoughts went through my head a good portion of the night. As horrible as the 60s were, I don’t believe we had groups such as the white supremacists and groups from other countries who want the US to fail participating. At least not to this extreme. Perhaps I am wrong.
As for white supremacy, Gov. George Wallace did make a presidential run during those times.
