Another grim statistic: An American dies of Covid-19 every 30 seconds.
According to Dr. Fauci, it is now going to require a 90% vaccination rate to wipe out the virus. This is considerably higher than the previous 60-70% rate.
An even greater challenge?
Numbers 1-2 weeks from now will tell us how serious the public took the stay home suggestion . Christmas is obviously a much bigger day then thanksgiving & we know how that went as we are looking at those numbers now & remember the numbers before thanksgiving we’re not like the ones coming in now before Christmas, much scarier situation this time around with the high numbers then adding 4 family holiday if you will calling Xmas Eve & New Year’s Eve an unofficial holiday but you get my drift . The airport traffic, traveling was ridiculously higher than thanksgiving as they have been showing on tv , I mean really scratching my head why is this happening. I see a lot of comments from folks on Facebook ( local town around here & probably the same all around & as most of us are following the rules you have so many others tossing you a big middle finger with the mentality of F—- you can’t tell me what to do & the government isn’t controlling my day to day life or holidays. These people are why this thing will not be going anywhere at anytime soon & that is scary . End of ramp I’m just sick of following the rules & then I see so many that don’t . Just because vaccinations have started I still believe we are going to be entering another tough year with no fans at events , no concerts & the mask wearing will be here for the entire new year . I’m hoping we start turning the corner a little bit towards summer but that needs to be done with an. abundance of caution & common sense .
No return to normalcy imo until 2022. This is going to be a two year pandemic like the last one, 1918-1920.
