Hearing from British colleagues that there are now spikes across the entire UK. Mostly affecting younger folks, because most of the older ones have been fully vaccinated. But, compared to the ancestral Wuhan 1.0 virus and even the Italian and British variants the Delta variant is having a more significant impact on younger patients than its predecessors. Across the country a doubling in ICU cases in 3 weeks.
Thank you,,Joshua. It confuses me a bit that younger folks were not targeted with the other variants. It isn’t as if the virus knew what age groups it was targeting and just switched age groups when it saw the vaccine produced. Or did it? How creepy would that be?
