  1. Thanks, TK – glad you are feeling better!

I may or may not be posting this wknd. – but just in case, hope everyone has a great wknd.! Try to dodge the raindrops if we get any! 🙂

    1. Hope your weekend is nice to rainshine and that your husband is feeling better and your allergies have improved!

      1. Thanks, Vicki! Husband is feeling better but my allergies are still lousy. Usually by the end of June, the beginning of July they ease up. Hope you have a great wknd., too!

  2. Thanks TK, glad ur back on ur feet!

I know you said Cape and Islands will be 70’s tomorrow, what do u think for the Newport, RI area? Its usually a bit warmer down there than the Cape. Thinking tomorrow may be the best day to hit the beach.

    1. The only “lock” of the 3 days is Saturday. Take advantage if you can. Still may sneak in a nice day overall either of the other 2 with Monday the most likely of the 2.

    1. Morning is more certain for dry weather, but I’m starting to think the entire daylight hours of Sunday will be dry in this area.

  3. NAO looks to take a dive. It really hasnt been positive now for weeks. I’m beginning to think this is going to be the theme for the summer. God i hope not, but I’m afraid the pattern is starting to look like it. A few sunny warm days, then back to wet and cooler for a few. IMO, until that NAO goes back to some postive territory for any length of time, this is what we have. Some of you guys may like it, but for me its much less than ideal. For you snow lovers, murphy’s law says it goes positive and stays there with no blocking from november thru march 🙁

    1. And now the CPC says below average temps for the next 6-10. As far as i’m concerned, that CPC outlook is pretty useless. It changes seems like every 3-4 days. No consistency at all.

      1. I feel as if any long range outlook is basically useless but fun nonetheless. Last summer as I remember June was cold, raw, wet at the start. I’ll be darned if I can remember what the rest of the summer was like but suspect if it were a wash I would remember?? And last fall long range we were going to have a snowy winter.

    2. i agree with you Brad. I want the nao to be negative durring the winter . I want it positive durring the spring and summer through early fall. I can not wait for those heat waves. 😀

  4. Last summer was mediocre at least for a summer lover. Late june was ok and July was a scortcher ( real nice if u ask me). But August was wet and cool. Not great summer wether at all. Thera still hope obviously, but that really negative nao has me wondering.

    1. I was at the beach the last two weeks of August and except for the day Irene visited and the day before it, the weather was perfect.

  5. Hi All –

I’m hoping to paint the bottom of my boat (seems like the size of the Titanic when this job needs doing). I need cooler morning hours, and most important, no rain. I get the impression that any of the three weekend days might work… I need abut a four hour window for the paint to dry.

    Thoughts…?

        1. You wouldn’t believe what I have been up too. I have two relatives that are going home on hospice care, one very young. I had to prep their homes for them. Then yesterday I found out my friend has brain cancer. My neighbor i grew up with passed away yesterday. When it rains it pours!

I under staturday will be nice but my day is packed. Looking for some in site on the last two days.

          1. Oh coastal I am so sorry everything hit the fan at once. It’s hard enough when just one thing happens. You are a special friend for, them to have

          2. sorry to hear that my grandmother past away about 4 years ago from brain cancer. they said she had 2 months. unless she had theropy but even then it was douptful. It was the day before christmas eve that she was dignosed had surgery that night. They thought they had all of the tumer out but some peices got to far back for them to operate on it.

            1. Thanks Guys. I’m sorry to hear that Matt. One will not be making it home for hospice. On the morphine drip now so matter of time. My other relative had a stroke and fell down his stairs, he’s back in the hospital.

  6. saturday will be by far the best of the days. with highs in the middle to upper 80s I would not be surprise to see some areas hit 90. sadly i will be stuck doing a patio instead of using the pool.

  7. There is now a sub-tropical storm Beryl. Looks like it will make landfall in GA & no. FLA. big rainmaker.

  8. I hope everyone has a good Memorial Day weekend! The weather might not be perfect but at least were not talking about all day washouts. Don’t see any severe weather should storms develop today.

  9. Coastal and Matt, sorry to hear about what you talked about up there. Been through a few things like that with people I am close to. Not easy. 🙁
