  1. Turn off the A/C’s, open up the windows, and let that 60 degree NE breeze fill the house tonight! 🙂

  2. Thanks, TK. I saw the video you posted of the supposed “funnel cloud”. One key thing was that there was no rotation. Thanks for showing the video.

John – thank you so much for your kind words. And I feel so bad about what happened to your first poodle. I couldn’t help but cry. I’m glad you got another dog. We may be going to a shelter in the next few days to find a cat. Or shall I say – for a cat to find us! 🙂

Vicki – thank you also for your kind words. You are a very good person – and I mean that. You always seem to have a happy attitude, no matter what. I wish I could be like that!

Well, I wanted some HHH weather-wise and I got it. I know it is just mid-summer, but I have had enough for awhile. Looking forward to some cooler and drier weather. We might head up to Gloucester or Rockport this wknd. We haven’t gone anywhere so far this spring and summer. We will see.

    1. rainshine – you are very kind and I thank you. I am also very opinionated….I suspect that’s shown through a few times 🙂 I think of you as a happy person also and always enjoy seeing you here!! I am happy a new cat will be adopting you and your husband.

  3. TK – I happened to be looking back at some posts from earlier in the month and I saw a post you sent to me after we lost our cat. Thank you for your kind words. I try to read this blog every day but sometimes I can’t get a chance or I might miss something or my computer breaks. In any case, thanks again.

    1. I have a 2004 desktop computer right now – if computer prices get down low enough I might someday get a newer one. My husband has a 2008 laptop computer which crashes a lot – but my husband has fun fixing it. Gives him something to do! 🙂

  4. Thanks TK.
AceMaster I could not agree with you more turn off the AC and open the windows. I love mother nature’s airconditiong because its free. I love the weekend weather with nice temps and humidity in check. I like seeing those lows in the 50s to low 60s because that is indicating a dry airmass. The lower the overnight low the more comfortable the day will be. The higher the number the more uncomfortable the day will be.

  5. Heading north, north-east and we just drove thru Watertown, NY. Pretty big town, now I’ll have some sort of image when I see them report 1/4 mile in heavy snow during Lake effect snow squalls ( well, assuming a winter actually occurs in 2012-2013 ) :).

Happy to report car themometer reads 73F. Got my hands on a Syracuse newspaper and their last 7 days high temps have been 94, 93, 94, 85, 88, 101 and 87F.

Bit disappointed with Rte 81N, as it parallels parts of Lake Ontario, but not too much of a view of the lake at all. Onward to the Adirondacks ! 🙂

    1. Hi, Tom – have to say I really envy you! I have been to both the White Mountains of NH and the Green Mountains of VT – not to hike, just to sightsee. But I have seen pictures of the Adirondacks – and they look beautiful! You and your family enjoy your vacation – glad the weather is cooperating now, too.

    2. Tom what a lovely vacation – it’s great hearing about your adventures each day! Have a toasted marshmallow for me please 🙂 I like them burnt !!!!

  6. Hahaha so instead of taking the seals away it’s gonna take a shark eating a human like it usually does, get the freaking seals outa there!!!

    1. Its a healthy marine envioment number 2 in north america. humans just need to deal with it. They are being found near the national sea shore so they would not touch them. Also it is a good thing. It gives marine Biologists to study them. Also mother nature will balance it out her self. Do not mess with it.

      1. the amount of marine life I have seen off our coast is amazing. whale watching of the cape to the seal watching I have seen humbacks breaching, minkis, fin whales,2 different types of dolphins ,seals a mako shark and a basking shark All off our coast. And do not even get me started with the national park of st johns . I can not even count. You need a balance of predators and prey and there needs to be predators to eat the predators. and the white sharks are one of them.
