The Week Ahead

9:30AM

A cold front has moved offshore taking a band of showers with it, leaving southeastern New England with a nice Sunday as drier air flows in between low pressure in southeastern Canada and high pressure from the Ohio Valley to the Mid Atlantic States.

The week upcoming will feature some transitions due to a couple passing weather systems, the first of which will be a cold front Monday, bringing nothing more than some clouds and a reinforcing shot of chilly air which will peak over the region during Tuesday. Moderating temperatures are expected for midweek ahead of a vigorous disturbance approaching from the west. The main low center from this system is expected to pass northwest of New England late this week, as November begins, bringing a push of warmer air followed by some wet weather, then a transition to colder and drier air later next weekend. The details and timing of this are somewhat up in the air and will be fine-tuned as the week goes on.

  1. TK, thank you very much. Maybe I was sleepy but I thought I heard about the chance of “snowflakes” for Mon PM on BZ early this am. Maybe I was tired.

  2. Thank you TK.

I haven’t looked at a weather map in over 2 weeks.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too busy at work, having to do some work at home nights and weekends.

This is my first peek in here since last Saturday AM.

Hopefully after this week, I’ll be a little more regular around here.

btw, still haven’t gotten over that game last night!!!
Saltamalarkia (spelling intended) needs to go!!!!!! He can’t throw and his
bat is made of Swiss cheese. Get him OUT OF TOWN NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now we see if WHIMPY boy, I feel something in my shoulder, Clay Buchholz can last more than 5 innings tonight. It’s the WORLD SERIES!!! I’d pitch if my arm were falling off. C’mon Clay suck it up!!!!

Am I jaded, you bet I am!!

We shall see what happens tonight.

    1. I just wish the Sox would stop throwing the ball to 3rd base ! 🙂

Heck, they should be banned from doing it on St. Louis strikeouts with no one on base.

    2. Oldsalty good to see you on here. Once again no surprise we think alike with sports. I was saying to my son salty has done nothing. Now the sox need to win the next two so they don’t come back to boston with there back against the wall. Not feeling good with clay pitching tonight. First sign of trouble and he must be pulled. Dustin is playing at the top of his game. I felt going into Monday the series would be tied, we shall see.

      1. I was thinking though the win would be lastnight and the loss tonight with clay pitching. How can you feel good about this guy. Lackey and Lester know what a big game means.

    3. Clay is a wimp! He says things in interviews like “I’ll try my best.” C’mon, it’s the World Series! Mighty nice of you Clay to at least give it a try.

  3. Thanks TK !

Google ……. Kimmirut cam………, if you are in need of seeing snow. It was snowing last I checked with perhaps a few inches on the ground.

    1. There is something to it. But I am not convinced it leads to big snow in New England yet. If -NAO is TOO strong, it’s a “cold & dry, kiss ’em goodbye” pattern.

      1. Brady just can’t get anything going with these receivers, just not to much trust there. Brady is heading towards his worst season ever as a patriot. I hope this means they will have an aggressive off season.

      1. Should have added I am not in any way saying you were saying never, longshot. Just in general with this team

        1. John he’s playing with a bunch of college kids. His stats do not reflect the true picture. And those rating QBs know it. If Brady is rated third it is done with admitted reservation and the knowledge that he is playing with not only rookies but with too many injuries of key players. You can’t go n
By stats alone and you can’t put the onus on Brady. Just my opinion

  4. Patriots win!!! Miami beat us in the 1st half, and the Patriots beat the bag outa the dolphins more in the 2nd half, hence 27 pts unanswered, there were some adjustments in the defense at half which was great, great coaching BB calling a timeout at the end of 3rd, loved the call, moving on 6-2 🙂

      1. Great coach yes. But I no longer believe in bill we trust. I’m sorry but letting welker walk was his number one mistake since taking over this team, and to boot he does not care. If I were Brady I would find a way out and go else where. I know I’ll take flack for this but I’m good with it. Kraft needs to start speaking up for his team. And as I always say this is coming from a huge pats fan, huge.

        1. No flack here. I am not the least happy with BB. And remember where we heard it first….from a non pats fan who was right. Sometimes cannot see outside our own world. I don’t think Brady will leave the pats but then that’s a guess. Sadly Hadi is right. BB robbed him of more Super Bowl victories and its a whole lot more than just welker. I think he just woke BB fans up. Again just opinion. I love the team. They have great heart and Brady is not only one of the best QBs ever but his loyalty is undeniable

          1. I can agree with that. BB is a awesome at coaching but should not now be making all the decision making. It obviously is not working. Great win today but that does not take away the fact that this team needs severe help.

      2. Tom hope you don’t mind. I sent you a friend request on FB..at least I think and hope its you. I’m still figuring my way around !

  5. And back to weather. 51 here with 27 DP. Very gusty … Up to 20 mph ish. I had the pleasure of watching my 4 yr old granddaughters first official riding lesson this morning and in the sun it was actually hot. No wind at that point and to be fair I was only one saying hot but others thought it was quite nice. It was a whole different story when the wind picked up. The faint of heart scattered for the barn 😉

    1. It was very nice this morning and opened up the screen for some air, much cooler pm and the wind is whipping. As long as its dry for Thursday I’m good. We have a houseful coming over. Practically my entire sons class with parents.

      1. Wow. You do up Halloween great. Wish you were on FB. We went by house my grandfather built for his family and where my mom grew up yesterday. They have an absolutely ginormous black cat airblow. Its a big house and it was taller than house. I thought of you. I don’t know how to post the FB link here yet 🙁

  6. The Pats at 6-2 are doing a GREAT job given what they have.

Yes there are less than stellar moments. Face it, we got SPOILED with how great Brady has been over the years. He’s still great. Past his prime? Yes. Near the end? Not yet.

Tough ending for the Sox. You could see the Cardinals come out of the dugout hoping the guy would be safe, seeing that by regular standards he was out by a mile, and then the look of shock on their faces when that call was made. I almost felt bad for them in their confusion. Despite it, this series is far from over. Don’t be surprised if we’re watching a game at Fenway on Halloween Night, wondering if the game will end before rain arrives…

    1. Tk for selfish reasons I’m hoping for game seven as I’m off Friday. And I agree not over but need a win tonight. I’m hoping last night gives them extra energy for tonight. Tk don’t forget to give your winter thoughts by 12/1.

  7. Welcome to the world of FB Vicki. 🙂 Hitch a ride on my timeline any time. It can be a wild ride. 😀

    1. I get most of it but when I was on FB a few years ago there was no timeline. That’s what I have to figure out. And figure it out I will. I tend to get rather obsessive when it comes to figuring out technology. AND starting next Friday I’ll have a couple of months without work. I’ve never been without work before so it’ll b a bit of a shock. But it hopefully is short lived and its for a good reason 🙂

        1. I know. It’s why I got away from it before. I use an email that connects to nothing and have tight security. Thanks John

        1. No. My business associate has to have surgery so I’m out while he’s out. I’m wishing best for him first and foremost I am not sure if I’m looking forward to time for me. Been working for tons of years or am worried about a good portion of income loss at a tricky time of year. Either way, more important he does well

          1. Mrs. North aka Sara has been out of work since the end of September. She is working part time in retail while she is looking. Although she misses her full time paycheck, she is enjoying the time out. I am missing her paycheck more :).

      1. Timeline will kind of explain itself.

You are free to inundate us. 😉 I’m sure everything will go the way it is meant to go!

  8. I like the shakeup of the lineup tonight. Nava and Ross in. Salty and Victorino out. Gomes in too. Lets see what happens. After last night we need something to make us forget that!

          1. Ohhh and I watched three Hallmark Good Witch movies this weekend so I may be a bit weirder than usual for a few days. But concentrate really hard with positive thoughts anyway
