  1. Phillip I think we will manage to get some clearing by early afternoon. I don’t see either sat or Sunday being a washout. Not that I am TK:-) but thats my opinion.

  2. Topkatt, you didn’t cover the most important weather issue of all — the forecast for inside TD Garden on Thursday at 7 pm.

      1. I remember those days very well. When I was young, I once walked from Cambridge to the Garden and back so I could get a Bruin’s ticket — I didn’t have enough $ to take the train too. All so I could go to the game and watch through the fog.

  3. Beautiful day today. I think the sun came out earlier than originally thought – here in Sudbury the sun was coming up and it was pretty clear out at 6:30 a.m. So nice to see the sun but it still is on the chilly side. It will prob’ly warm up later on today. It is 50 degrees currently here in Sudbury. There are more crocuses starting to bloom in our yard and I am starting to see forsythia. Looking forward to when everything starts really blooming (except my allergies may not like it! 🙂 )

      1. I haven’t seen that yet. But when we get it, even with the windows closed it seems to get in the house anyway!

    1. rainshine – we have woods on the back, east side of our home and there was a mist among the trees where the morning sun shone through. It was a lovely early spring morning!

We lost the sun for a bit in Framingham late morning but it’s back and the sky is a clear blue.

      1. Vicki – we have woods on the north, east and south part of our home, but I didn’t see any mist – maybe I missed that – it sounds like it was really pretty! We were in Framingham around 9:00 and ‘though the sun was out then, I could see the clouds – I think they were moving in from the west.

  4. Oceans temps r climbing into the mid and upper 40’s, another sign summer is on it’s way, as I c it, Sun morning rain is a good bet, looks like a general .50-.75 of precip, temps look in general close to seasonable 50’s-60 degrees, next week looks showery but continued close to average upper 50’s, have a good day everyone 🙂

  5. Who started the snow talk on BZ blog? I don’t see anything on the GFS indicating anything? Maybe I am missing something?

  6. Ding Dongs started the snow talk. You would have to be way up in the Adirondacks, Greens, or Whites to see any snow….

I think Saturday turns out fine. Even way out in the CT Rvr Valley the 12z GFS only produces 0.03 of rain through 8pm Saturday night. Away from the east coastal locations, where a brisk east breeze will make it pretty cool feeling, more sun than expected will make Saturday feel ok and get up into the 50’s.

Sunday afternoon turns out pretty good and warmer! A continuing trend of warming temps the first half of next week.

  7. I don’t go to the BZ blog any more but stopped in there this morning – why? I have no idea. Can I assume this is one (maybe two) people using everyone’s name and making up the snow reports?

  8. It’s crazy over there! They complain when no-one shows and then complain when they do show! I had to throw a post in, couldn’t hold back….

  9. 12z ECWMF keeps any measurable out of Boston until after midnight. About .75 in Boston done before noon.

  10. Good afternoon bloggers & readers!

I continue to have very limited access to my main computer until a fan is replaced (hopefully tomorrow) and am using a tiny little backup laptop when I can. So I have not been able to be here much, and barely had time to update last night. I’ll get a new update in by early evening on upcoming weather and in the mean time you all please continue on chatting about the weather here! I’ll check in over at WBZ later as well.

    Ciao for now!

  11. Oh yes and I went a bit warm today I think. Not going to reach the upper 60s anywhere. So much for optimism. Still a nice day!

Also, on Friday’s forecast, probably mostly sunny, forget the partly to mostly cloudy part. I’ll fix all that on the next update!

  12. Now to the troll free blog as I just went there and to the many imposters including one who used my name. I even noticed a little while ago one of the trolls have come up with their own thunderstorm index.
Anyway as I said over there I think were done with the snow for this year so no more snow index. Its on to tracking thunderstorms and whatever else mother nature throws our way in the coming months. Its a nice spring day out there today and I am enjoying it before some unsettled weather moves in for part of the weekend. Another outbreak of severe weather happening in parts of the Plains and South. Tis the season for that to happen with the battle between the cold air to the north and warm moist air being pumped in from the Gulf of Mexico.

  13. TK-Your highs for today were not too bad. Highs 64-68 Boston to Bedford to Worcester to CEF & BAF.

    1. Ok! I never really checked to verify. Was very busy running about. And I felt cold for some reason. I’ll take it!

    2. Boston reached 65 degrees today. I would say that TK’s forecast of 63-68 worked out just fine. 🙂

    1. If they loose tonight shame on them, yes the best of seven I know. But when you have a playoff record like they do, and how they blew last year playoffs a win tonight is a huge must. No matter the outcome tonight I have said to everybody that the bruins would be a better road team in the playoffs. There home record stinks this year. I love the bruins. But saying that the bruins not a stanley cup team this year-sorry TK.

      1. Oh I’m not expecting a Cup. I would like to see them make a run and don’t lose in a lame way, like last time.

This team COULD win it all but they have to put everything together for every game. Hasn’t been easy for them to do.

        1. Price is hot tonight but he can be beat. I like the shots on net from the bruins tonight, If they score I am going with a chara or marshon goal. Not sure if I spelled Brads name right. But 2pds in the books and no goal in your own barn, not good for playoff game.

  14. Troll Boy has pretty much succeeded in ruining the WBZ blog. I feel bad for the readers and bloggers. But most of all I feel bad for Barry. He was very proud of that blog and doesn’t deserve that crap.

    1. …and ppl keep replying to him. He’s getting the attention he wants. It’s why he won’t go away.

      1. TK- You should invite Barry to this site to join us, nobody needs
to know. And Tk I am just curious, how come Bm has not posted here I know you invited him, I enjoyed his posts.

  15. Its shame what has happened to the BZ blog. I liked going there and being able to share my perspective as well as hear everyone else’s and now I read more garbage than weather related stuff there. A week ago Shotime asked if I would still blog there because he or she liked the thunderstorm index since it was helpful in making plans. I hope that person comes over to this blog but I will continue to blog both places and am not going to care what some troll says.
Speaking of thunderstorms parts of Oklahoma getting hit and one particular super cell looks very nasty and I never like here the words particularly dangerous situation with a tornado watch.

  16. Just arrived at a hotel in St. Johnsbury, now the waiting game till tomorrow morning when i visit Lyndon State College for a tour/open house. Also plan to meet with a senior atmospheric sciences major concentrating in broadcast and the private sector. His name is Matthew DiPirro if anyone knows him by any chance, he’s done internships around here and grew up in Boston.

  17. SHAME ON THEM-SHAME ON THEM- That is all I have to say, I am disgusted that they did not win tonight. You may think that I am being to hard but look to the past and I say no more. Going away for the weekend catch up with you guys next week.

  18. So much for “home” ice…and I am not all that confident about the Celtics either. The last I heard there is no decision yet on Shaq for the Knicks series. Not to mention that Rondo hasn’t been “himself” lately. 🙁

  19. I only give the Celtics a slight edge in the series because they are playing a team in the New York Knicks that don’t play defense what so ever. I am going with Celtics in 6 and I also picked the Bruins in 6. The Bruins had their chances particularly in that second period but Price was dominant tonight.

  20. Good luck Scott!!

Shame on the Bruins. But it’s only ONE game. After what happened last year, I won’t count anyone out until they are done. We’ll see what happens on Saturday night!

    Working on a new blog.
