Two Not Of A Kind

3:06PM

Two low pressure areas will continue to be the dominant features for the balance of the week (through Saturday). The first one was responsible for the ribbon of heavy rain in the early hours ofΒ  Saturday, the few showers that popped up Sunday, and the more numerous showers over eastern New England Monday and Monday night. This low continues to have some influence today as the sun heating the ground has interacted with the chilly air aloft and popped more clouds. This time only isolated showers are possible, and if they occur it will be only through early evening. Most areas will not see these. This low pressure area, centered to the east of the region, finally moves away by early Wednesday but makes way for another one approaching from the west. We’ll hear from it first in the form of increasing clouds Wednesday afternoon, then some wet weather Wednesday night through Friday (not raining the entire time), and cool air, especially Thursday. This is a little different than how the current low has impacted the region, but moving away Saturday it will be somewhat similar to its cousin, with a few instability showers possible to start the Memorial Day Weekend. But as we get to theΒ  middle and end of the holiday weekend, Sunday and Memorial Day Monday look much better, and warmer, as a westerly flow takes over.

    1. Had to get that in there.

      Many thanks TK.

So we’ll freeze at Fenway tonight? Logan still at 62 with ESE wind.

      1. Not freezing, but a chill in the air for certain. πŸ™‚ The wind will be quite light, dropping from light NNE to near calm.

          1. Just think – it could be 98 with 70 DP.

Enjoy the game and hope you and Hadi find each other. Remember, you promised to video your dance and post it here.

            1. If you really think I’m going to dance,
I have some snake oil to sell you. πŸ˜†

              1. Sooner or later an AL East team is going to get on a hot streak and break away from the pack and at this point I wouldn’t count on the Red Sox to be that team.

                1. I sure wouldn’t count on it being the red flops. They can’t hit and IF they hit, they can’t pitch. Anyone who KNOWS how to pitch can completely SHUT them down. πŸ˜€

  1. Our maple tree leaves are totally destroyed. And we have little black droppings everywhere that stick to everything. I’m afraid to think they may be the droppings of the caterpillars. It is disgusting.

    1. Those little black drops are all over my car.
BUT the Maple trees look OK??? I don’t get that.
Perhaps we have those buggers, but not as many?
I found a little greenie on my car door.

        1. It’s worm poop, luckily I have the trees treated here in early April, it is disgusting though, good luck Vicki πŸ™‚

  2. Sox have resigned drew for a 1 year 10 million dollar deal. He is hitting the minor league and should be in the lineup next week.

  3. Having dinner on the CBS Patio at Patriot Place enjoying this beautiful night, as always very busy.

Summertime Crabgrass is rearing it’s ugly head already, seeing 2 and 3 tiller crabgrass, make sure you kill it before it takes over the entire lawn, good luck!! πŸ™‚

  4. Dr. Cohen is on with Harvey tonight at 11 with his summer preview.

    Thanks and happy birthday TK!

    1. I am keeping my fingers crossed on no HHH, thunderstorms or hurricanes this summer. πŸ™‚

  5. I want to track thunderstorms this summer but hopefully no repeat of June 1, 2011. Its hard to believe 3 years have passed since the Springfield Tornado and it was the first time in my life I ever saw a tornado on live television in New England. I will never forget that image of the tornado going across the CT River.
If there is 3 H weather I hope its there are not prolonged spells of it and hurricanes keep them over the fish.

  6. Please tell me that is raindrops I hear on the roof and not a creature. Creatures are suppose to vacate in nice weather
