Tuesday Forecast

7:15AM

DAYS 1-5 (NOVEMBER 24-28)…
No big changes in this update. High pressure will tear apart a weak disturbance trying to move into the region from the west today, bringing only some clouds at times, and this high maintain control to provide fair and chilly weather through Wednesday, very favorable for travel around the region heading toward Thanksgiving. The holiday itself on Thursday will be dry but one minor change will be to introduce some cloudiness to the forecast as the wind may be coming from the southeast, bringing in some low level moisture from the Atlantic. The degree of cloud cover is uncertain at this point. Either way, it appears we’ll get into a southwesterly flow by Friday, the big shopping day, with fair and mild weather. A cold front may bring passing rain showers early Saturday before fair, breezy, and colder weather overtakes the region behind a passing cold front.
TODAY: Partly cloudy. Highs 38-45. Wind W 5-15 MPH.
TONIGHT: Mostly clear. Lows 15-20 interior valleys, 20s elsewhere. Wind light variable.
WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny. Highs in the 40s. Wind NW to N 5-15 MPH.
THURSDAY – THANKSGIVING: Mostly cloudy. Lows in the 30s. Highs in the 50s.
FRIDAY: Mostly sunny. Lows in the 40s. Highs in the 60s.
SATURDAY: Mostly cloudy with scattered rain showers morning. Mostly sunny afternoon. Temperatures falling to the 40s.

DAYS 6-10 (NOVEMBER 29-DECEMBER 3)…
Fair and chilly Sunday November 29. Rain threat Monday November 30 as low pressure approaches. Another disturbance may bring some light precipitation December 1 and/or 2. Fair weather December 3.

DAYS 11-15 (DECEMBER 4-8)…
Fair to start. A possible rain/snow threat mid period. Fair late period. Temperatures near to above normal.

  1. Good morning and thank you TK.

    re: Upcoming systems
    Blah, blah, blah
To me it looks like quite a series of LAKES CUTTERS setting up down the road.
    Figures. We shall see.

    re; the Game
MORE injuries. GEEZ, we can’t take any more of this crap!!!!

They won and that is all that counts and that is all I will say about the game.

    1. But but but but….when the weather is boring, why stop at that re game.

Oh, ok, if you insist, I will add a thought. Brady has had a different look in his eye the past two games. First half only for giants but more last night. I can’t describe it, but it isn’t positive. I’ve seen him have the look before and it worries me.

And seriously…..calling out Rex Ryan?? Not something I think of the Pats as doing and wonder who it distracted more….the Pats or Bills.

      1. The look.

Yes, I could see that. I think it is simply, holy shit, they want
        me to win with that!!!

I want some semblance of an offensive line to give me some
        time to do MY JOB!!!!!!
        I want Edelman!
        I want Dion Lewis!!!

Honestly, I think that is all it is. And that is enough.

        1. He tends to get down on himself. I think that the greats do and I agree with what you say but think that is just part of it.

          1. there are two brady looks. there is the frustrated brady look giants superbowl… ravens…… regular season game vs hawks a few examples and last night. then there is the look of im going to destroy you. the look of im going to destroy you is what i have been seeing since the afc championship last year. I did not see it tonight.

        2. Your dead on Dave, you couldn’t be more right. Watching the game with my dad, and we were both saying he’s losing weapons. Gotta just get through the regular season. Offensive line is not cohesive,, guards and tackles timings are way off, hence looks messy. Plus refs were horrible

  2. i laughed when he gave the rex ryan audible. but dam butler is becoming a beast.
    Pass rush was good
rushing is better than what the numbers say

defense showed they could help hold this team up while the offense gets better

Offense is going to be fighting.
the o-line, sorry but we need to get cannon back in his proper spot so he does not pull so many penalties
    Lewis gone for the season
    Edelmen gone till the playoffs
Dobson looks to be out for a while
Amondola looks to be not as serious of an injury but it is a knee injury that was non-contact
This leaves Lafell and a bunch of unknowns.
gronk who will be double covered maybe even tripled.
I wanted to see Manning out there, it would have meant a bunch of interceptions.
at least they are going to be with out some of their major players too.

also these refs were aweful. pats would have had another touchdown.

  3. It appears all the snow is going to fall in the upper Midwest, you all know what I say,,,, “keep it there”. I’m fine with rain. :):):):)

  4. As I said it before injuries could be a major factor moving forward and if anybody thinks otherwise I don’t know what to say. You have key guys going down every week consistently like clock work and that’s scary. Good teams find ways to win but when your team is being dismantled week after week it’s tough. I so hope Danny is not badly hurt. Brady is loosing his safety blankets ,his Go to guys and he is one frustrated dude right now. Go pats !!!!!!!

    1. Ah ha – so you jinxed them 🙂

Other than the first part of this year, I don’t remember a time they have not played without injuries or missing folks. As was wisely said, if anyone can figure it out, BB and the Pats are the team to do it. They will always do their best and, as a fan, that is all I can ever expect.

  5. Thankfully the Patriots won. They do it with castoffs, stowaways, vagabonds, and heart. Besides having Brady, they also employ the greatest coach in the history of any sport.

Ray Lewis renewed his claim to being an ignoramus when he declared he would take Rex Ryan over Bill Belichick as head coach. Really, Ray. You hate competence so much that you’d rather have mediocrity. I guess that explains the NFL and much of the nation’s irrational hatred of the Patriots: They prefer stupidity, incompetence, and a boatload of self-absorbed players over a team concept based on intelligence. Lewis is not the only idiot out there. I think many of the owners are rather thick, the NFL commissioner’s office, too, and practically all the pundits. Last but surely not least, the referees. These guys make major league umpires look like wizards. NFL referees are disgraceful. All of them. Too many flags, too much nonsensical conferencing, too much really horrible `officiating.’ In short, the game has become too much about them. Let the boys play. Swallow your whistles for once. Stop slowing the pace of a game that’s already bogged down by commercials, timeouts, injury breaks, and seemingly endless numbers of reviews.

  6. Patriots: I generally agree with all that is said above. But I still have great confidence in this team. One must not get too greedy about an undefeated season. That would be awesome, but it’s not necessary. They’re going into the post season no matter what, and THAT is where we need them healthy.

Weather: Forecast on track and I can say at this point I see no surprises in the upcoming pattern that has been prognosticated to occur for some time now. One uncertainty is whether or not a system actually comes out of the Midwest to make next Monday unsettled. I think it does, but it may be fighting dry air. Two systems may follow that, one wet, one possibly white. But the “white” one hinges on several things coming together just right at the right time because the overall pattern is still a mild and dry one. I don’t see that changing any time soon, other than we may see a little less time in between our precipitation events than we have seen for many months.

      1. Well that sort of implied I didn’t agree with the second paragraph which of course is not the case. I’m not knowledgeable enough to agree or disagree 🙂

I’m still thinking white stuff is January-ish which is based on absolutely nothing 🙂

    1. Breathtaking. Thank you so much for sharing.

Joshua, I had a link I wanted to send to you. Would you mind if TK shared your email with me or TK said he would send it along if you would rather. 🙂

  7. PROGRAMMING NOTE: Dr. Judah Cohen and Harvey will be giving their winter outlook tonight at 11:00 pm on Ch. 5.

I suspect the forecast won’t be anything different from what TK has been saying here for the past few months. So far I haven’t heard or seen any “cold & snowy” forecasts at least from any credible mets anyway. 😉

Speaking of Harvey, he mentioned on air that no snows around here anytime soon and the early forecast for Sunday night in Denver (Pats)…snow/32F. 😀

  8. I hope to get my raking done for the season come Friday. The very mild temps (60+) should feel good. The last time I raked it was quite chilly (low 40s).

    1. I’m hoping for a little snow on the 24th, then a snow drought till next Dec. 🙂 🙂 🙂

    1. He was spot on last winter I believe Tk. I’ve said this before you just don’t seem to agree with him. Have a happy thanksgiving Tk

  9. Last year he made a point to stress that he did not forecast snowfall, only temperature, based on Siberian snow. But suddenly this year the model has a snow number, which is 62 inches for Boston. I suppose that’s good because people could give 2 craps about temperature if you don’t include how much snow you think is going to fall. So he’s conforming to public demand at least. This year, I do not generally agree because I feel he is giving too much weight to only one factor.

And last year he was not spot on. He was the first to admit a bad forecast regarding NAO. It was almost a case of being right for the wrong reason, which we hate in meteorology. I’m not a big fan of getting my own forecast of a sunny day right because a batch of dry air came in from the east when I thought it was going to come from the north. That’s just what we are like.

I have great respect for Dr. Cohen. I think he’s massively onto a great correlation here. I just think one cannot lean too heavily on that during certain times, and this is one of those times.
