  1. Thank you TK

I seem to recall problems with Christmas trees drying and dropping needles early in the few years where we has warmer than typical novembers.

    1. This is the first warmer than average November since 2011.
2012 through 2014 all average between 2 and 3 degrees below normal.

Tree issues would probably come from several other factors including location and conditions where they were grown, storage and shipping practices, and how early they were purchased and how well they were taken care of.

      1. It was about that far back. The tree folks said it was because the trees headed to dormancy and then were tricked …..rough wording. The place we got ours actually gave folks their miney back.

    1. They stink!! It’s not like it used to be, when I played we were playing in Sullivan stadium for a ring. And we never ever lost to Attleboro.

          1. Yes..sadly. The flies they released that will kill them should not be effective for another year…maybe two.

  2. TK – In spite of El Nino, is a white Christmas for us still possible? Do you have any early thoughts for mid/late December into the New Year?

    1. Yes it will be possible. We should see a cold interlude where it will be colder more often than not sometime in the December 15-25 time frame. At that point our chances of putting down at least a little snowcover will increase. I don’t think the pattern will be even close to supporting the building of any snowcover before mid December.

  3. re: Moths

We just came home and we are being invaded! They’re all over the place.
The outside walls of the house are wall papered in moths!!!!

    YIKES!!

  4. I really hope that everyone had a joyful and blessed Thanksgiving!
We got in late last night from a wonderful visit up north with family and friends!
Now the real fun begins – decorating! That is, after I finish up raking for Boston’s last week of yard-waste pickup. Hopefully, the cold front helps the remainder of the leaves find their way to the ground 🙂

    1. Hi shotime. So happy your Thanksgiving was nice. As hard as it was, ours was very nice also. Leaves are done here until the big spring cleanup anyway. Inside decorations are 90% done. Yay. Good luck with yours 🙂

  5. Come Tuesday which is December 1st bring on the snow. I see a rainorama to start December instead of a snoworama.

  6. Good morning.

Am I reading the radar correctly that it may be a while before showers clear out? The roofers were planning to finish our roof today and we are hoping they can because it is delaying christmas outdoor decorations. To their credit, they are on the roof now but I’m wondering how long before they give up 🙁
