DAYS 1-5 (MARCH 23-27)
This is the last day of full sun for a long while, though it will be cold. Enjoy it anyway. A long stretch of unsettled weather begins Friday as a warm front approaches, only makes it part of the way into southern New England, then pushes back to the south on Saturday and hangs out there for many days as an avenue for waves of low pressure.
TODAY: Sunny. Highs 30-37. Wind NW 15-25 MPH with higher gusts, diminishing slowly.
TONIGHT: Partly cloudy. Lows 18-25. Wind W 5-15 MPH.
FRIDAY: Mostly cloudy. Scattered light snow/sleet/rain mainly midday and afternoon. Highs 38-45. Wind SE 5-15 MPH increasing to 10-20 MPH with higher gusts.
FRIDAY NIGHT: Cloudy. Chance of light rain early. Temperatures steady 38-45. Wind S 10-20 MPH.
SATURDAY: Mostly cloudy. Slight chance of light rain. Highs 45-53 early, then cooler in the afternoon. Wind SW 5-15 MPH morning, shifting to NE from north to south during the day.
SUNDAY: Cloudy. Chance of rain/mix/snow mainly afternoon. Lows 30-38. Highs 38-45.
MONDAY: Cloudy. Periods of rain/mix/snow likely.

DAYS 6-10 (MARCH 28-APRIL 1)
Unsettled weather continues episodes of rain/mix/snow possible. Temperatures below normal.

DAYS 11-15 (APRIL 2-6)
No big changes expected here as an overall unsettled weather and below normal temperature regime hangs on.

    2. Yup and I don’t think it will bring any accumulation of snow for Boston. Of course it’s nothing but a guess .

      1. Nope, not this weekend. We may see some frozen preip in the air, but an accumulation of any significance does not appear to be in the cards. 😀

      2. Wouldn’t you rather have an accumulating snowstorm for a day or two and then nicer weather than the crappy weather we are about to get.

  10. Yeah I know tk will chime in and says he like all weather. But not sure how anyone can like this. I enjoy all weather as well but not this type of pattern. The rest of the country will start to enjoy warmer weather and we will be miserable.

    1. Last evening between 8 and 9 AM, the wind blew so hard I couldn’t believe
      the noise it was making. Haven’t heard wind noise like that in a long time!!

      My house is so solid, it takes a lot to have it shake. It did not shake last night, but the wind was unbelievable!

          1. Not the same. That’s a long term result of a regime. Short and medium range sensible weather is what this applies to.

  14. The wind was crazy here last night too. I also discovered that if I crack my bedroom window just a touch, it will make a whistling wind sound….even if the wind isn’t blowing. In effect, I’m making my own wind…………ya, I know, you can go a long way with that comment….in several directions.

    And now I will duck. I love today, I’ll love tomorrow, I’ll love the next day. How can you not love every day you are on this earth to enjoy it?

    1. I can create my own wind without the window… 😉 (sorry everyone, couldn’t resist) 😛

  16. Today’s deep blue sky, cold temps and gusty winds remind me of Monday April 5, 1982.

    Most here should remember what occurred the day after. 🙂

    1. The winds were more like yesterday on April 5 1982. Gusts 40-45 MPH across the region.

      Powder snowstorm the next day, 12-18 inches, 3 foot drifts, and it fell through the 20s during the storm then stayed in the teens to lower 20s all of April 7.

      The snow was gone, however, by April 11, which was Easter (for most).

      1. I help my son and his friend build a “SNOW BUNNY” a Few days later when it warmed a tad.

        Awesome storm. I had to take the orange line home from work
        and walked 1 mile from Forrest Hills to my house into the teeth
        of the NE wind and the blinding snow. LOVED every minute of it.

          And yet, our most recent snow (6.6″) has taken forever to melt.

          1. Yes. High Water content. The powder stuff disappears in a hurry when it warms up even a little.

      It appears no snow or even significant frozen precip for the next 10 days. This may mean the end of snow season. We will see.
