Saturday Forecast

10:28AM

DAYS 1-5 (MAY 20-24)
High pressure provides a beautiful day today then hangs on for a good part of Sunday as well. Low pressure will track north of New England late Monday and drag an occluded front through the region from west to east late in the day and at night, bringing some wet weather. A small high pressure area will move in behind this with nice weather Tuesday before the next low arrives Wednesday with more wet weather.
TODAY: Sunny. Highs from near 60 coast to near 70 interior. Wind light variable with sea breezes.
TONIGHT: Clear. Lows 37-44 interior valleys, 45-52 elsewhere. Wind light variable to calm.
SUNDAY: Sunshine and high clouds. Highs from near 60 coast to near 70 interior. Wind light SE.
SUNDAY NIGHT: Increasing clouds. Lows 50-58. Wind light SE to S.
MONDAY: Cloudy. Chance of rain in the afternoon. Highs 60-68. Wind SE to S 5-15 MPH.
TUESDAY: Partly cloudy. Lows 50-58. Highs 70-78.
WEDNESDAY: Cloudy. Chance of rain. Lows 52-60. Highs 62-70.

DAYS 6-10 (MAY 25-29)
This forecast is not the highest confidence but I’m going to attempt a little detail given that this runs through Memorial Day. Optimistic for dry weather or just a few showers around Thursday May 25, a low pressure system bringing wet weather on Friday May 26, lingering clouds with isolated showers but overall dry weather for Saturday May 27, fair and nice weather Sunday May 28, and a taste of summer for Memorial Day Monday May 29. Much tweaking to be done.

DAYS 11-15 (MAY 30-JUNE 3)
Watching this period for a spell of wet weather and then a cool-down.

    1. Love it!

I was just out with my mom on a couple errands and I was listening to Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album. So good. That fabulous album will be 50 years old on June 1. 😉

      1. That is one of the few that remains I have the original of. I didn’t know it was 50 yrs old.

    1. Hi Capt. Thanks. I was asked to be the family speaker last Wednesday at Dana farbers annual memorial service for those who lost their battle with cancer in the past year. Even now I have goosebumps thinking of what a great honor it was. I was focusing on stuff here and letting it distract where my focus needed to be. My fault but easily remedied 🙂

      1. Thank God for Dana Farber. What a place and what great people.
        Wonderful you were their speaker.

  1. Happy Birthday, TK! It’s a picture-perfect spring beauty of a day, well, at least in my book.

Vicki, congratulations on being invited to be a family speaker at the Dana Farber Institute event.

  2. Thanks TK. Happy birthday!! Looks like you’ve been gifted a beautiful day for it 🙂

  3. Thank you and you are right MassBay. Thank God for Dana. And the many incredible hospitals and talented medical professionals.

I struggled with what to write. Discarded it twice. Had a talk with Mac. Stepped away and I think for the first time ever I ended up writing something I was not critical of. I also admit to not presenting. I would not have been able to do so without too many tears. Macs infusion nurse read for me. It seemed to make it complete for all of us. We adore her.

    1. That’s wonderful that you were asked and you delivered! Would love to see the written speech if your comfortable with sharing!

      1. I would love to share. You are very kind to ask. I don’t know how to upload PDFs to a blog though. Sorry 🙁

        1. how long is it? You could use copy and then paste it
          into a blog post.

Here is part of my fishing licsense PDF. I just copied this part and pasted here:

          1. Sorry JPD. Just saw this. It is three pages….have you ever known be to be brief 🙂 🙂

  4. I am now officially 50, having been born at 5:16PM.
Thank you for all your wishes today. 🙂

  5. This morning felt like fall. Slight chill to the air compared to the previous day’s.

    1. Don’t think he will be manager after this weekend. He’s got a lifeless team that appears rudderless, too. Farrell is a nice man, articulate, understands certain aspects of the game, but is not an in-game manager at all. Plus, he’s too soft on these players. The Sox need a kick in the pants. Is Jim Leyland available? They’re better than this.

      1. I sincerely hope you are correct. The only 2 managers worse or equal were Don Zimmer and Bobby Valentine with Grady Little right behind.

    2. Please tell me what bone-head move he made today.
      HE HAS TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
      He is a MORON!!!

  6. Excellent working conditions today 3 jobs completed with 2 more tomorrow. I turned down 12 hrs of overtime today so I’m glad it was a successful day. Now I just need it dry for next Saturday as I have 13 yds of mulch to spread .

  7. Reading your comments on John Farrell it is amazing to me how Yankees fans get on Joe Girardi so much. I think there are Red Sox fans out there who would love to have Joe Girardi as the manager. Look at the job he did in his first managerial job with the Marlins 78-84 with a team with very little talent and with the Yankees 1 world championship and team while rebuilding has been very competitive.

    1. Surprising that Yankee fans geting on Girardi considering they are in first place and have been for awhile now so far. Wish the Red Sox were as lucky… 😉

  8. Philip not so much this year. The Girardi haters have been quiet so far but if this 3 game losing streak extends then those Girardi haters are going to be vocal again. At the start of the season you would have signed up for a 24-16 start through 40 games. The biggest criticism you hear about Girardi is he over manages. To that I will say the Yankees who were sellers at the trade deadline last year were playing meaningful games last September and had a shot at that second wild card till that series in Boston. Even the years the Yankees have missed the playoffs under Girardi 08, 13, 14, and 16 the Yankees were still mathematically in it going into the last week of the season. His first managerial job the Marlins in 06 with no talent 78-84. That organization was stupid for firing him.
