  1. Thank you, TK

Soooo who stayed up for the end? I crashed at 12:30ish. Iโ€™m suspecting TK May have. Anyone else?

  2. Good morning and Thank you TK. And a big Yawn. Had to give up on the game
at inning 15. Just couldn’t stay up any longer. What a game!
Sox had their chances and “should” have won it. Oh well, there is tonight.

And the million dollar question is: Who will start??

If it were up to me, I would start Rodriguez, but it isn’t is it.

My guess is that Cora will March Sale out there.

    We shall see.

Hope the Sox can HIT tonight as they were PATHETIC last night.
The # 1-4 batters went 0 for 28. Think about that.

    1. I don’t really agree with “should have” won. I would say “could have” but didn’t. It’s all incidental. That’s why they play the games. ๐Ÿ™‚ I think they rebound and grab these next 2 and it’s over Sunday night.

      1. I disagree. Certainly they “could” have won, but I still say
they should have won. But all is not lost.

  3. No city has ever hosted more than 3 major sporting events in a single day. On Sunday, LA will break that record by 2 when they host 5. Home games are had by the LA Dodgers (baseball), Clippers (basketball), Kings (hockey), Rams (football), and Galaxy (soccer). All 5 major sports.

      1. It is technically a major sport, even though most people in this country don’t understand it. ๐Ÿ™‚

        1. Oh yeah, I understand that. The younger generations
are much more into it. I just never could warm up to it.
Mostly because it was foreign to me.

  4. Thanks TK
What a game that was that ended at 3:30 this morning. I fell asleep after Muncy just missed hitting a walk off home run in the 15th inning. I woke up just after 330 and the news was one and said Dodgers won in a walk off in the 18th inning. The game last night of 7 hours 20 minutes was longer than the entire 1939 World Series.

  5. 0.30 inch so far here. Not raining all that hard. In fact right now it is not raining, just some drizzle.

    Not so windy here either.
Frankly, I am NOT impressed in the slightest.

  6. Our friends at the NWS are still at it:

    Convection…
Models are still struggling with how far N a late day warm front
is able to lift. Farthest W is the ARW, pushing it all the way
to the I-95 corridor. The overall mean is slightly W of the CC
Canal, and latest update will reflect this. Given the timing
coincides with the mid lvl dry slot, yielding very steep mid lvl
lapse rates, this will need to be watched, as MU CAPE values
still progged to exceed 500j/kg within the warm sector. Lower
lvl helicity values still very high at this time as well. Will
continue to highlight a low risk for a waterspout/tornado or
    enhanced TS late afternoon/evening.

  7. Vicki…it is I who posted the WWLWW which was the Red Sox winning the 1916 series against the Dodgers (Brooklyn). ๐Ÿ™‚

  8. 1.64 ft surge in Boston Harbor currently.

If that maintains to 1:40, tide will max at 12.7 ft. I’ll guess with the continued ramp-up, it ends up being 13 to 13.1 ft. Minor to borderline moderate flooding probably.

  9. Up to 0.72 inch here. Still not impressed with the wind. It’s windy, but nothing
too much at all. Gusting to 39 at the airport, perhaps up to 30 here is all.

    1. 3โ€ in bartlett.

The Conway area just dealt with a blackout for over a hour. Souroundinf towns were effected. Over 100k were out.

    1. I’m sure. I haven’t had a chance to go in that direction today as I’ve been driving towards Hanover and Pembroke ๐Ÿ™‚

  10. I wonder if the 7-year old prodigy will sing the national anthem at Dodger Stadium this evening:

    https://www.sbnation.com/lookit/2018/9/24/17897302/national-anthem-7-year-old-galaxy-mls-video

Her performance before an LA Galaxy game was tremendous. Zlatan Ibrahimovic (one of the world’s best players over the last decade and a half) really liked it.

I’m not feeling it as far as the Sox are concerned. The Dodgers have a formidable line-up (and a stacked bench compared to the Red Sox) and are due to break out of their doldrums, especially against a tired Sox pitching staff. What the Red Sox need is an anomalous Southern California 2-day rainstorm. Ain’t going to happen. Yesterday’s loss caused me serious lack of sleep. I might have slept 2 hours after the loss. But, as you all know I’m a skeptic when it comes to the Red Sox. Love them, but can’t say I have faith in them, ever. Thankfully, I’ve been proven wrong several times since 2004.

One thing I so hoped for back in early October was that the Red Sox would include Brandon Phillips on the playoff roster instead of Ian Kinsler. I really think Kinsler is nearing the end of a good career. His swings are so bad, so late, and often half-hearted. His base-running clownish. And even his fielding leaves a lot to be desired, and not just last night. We’ve also learned that Mookie Betts is no David Ortiz or Manny Ramirez or Mike Lowell or Shane Victorino or Mike Napoli. Betts is very hesitant at the plate, and that’s characteristic of someone who’s nervous on the big stage. His post-season experience is no longer a small sample size. In 2016 he was bad, last year terrible, and this year mediocre.

    1. Joshua no disrespect but you havenโ€™t been feeling it with the Sox in each series why is that I am curious . You do not think this team is good , they are way better than LA. Look for huge effort tonight from Sox. Lastly it took 18 innings last night for LA to grab a win .

  11. what a drive to The Seaport Hotel from my house in JP. Wind driven rain and complete morons on the road. Made it here. No flooding.

  12. Daughter said ocean had come up into the parking lot in Scituate and the road around the lighthouse….not sure name of that but suspect others here do. They didnโ€™t see more than a bit of splashover on Humarock. Daughter tried to get out at the lighthouse and had trouble walking in the wind. Granted she is 100lbs but strong enough to handle large horses so had to be pretty strong.

  13. Iโ€™m hearing no elecreicity at daughters home in Uxbridge. They got a call from neighbor. Iโ€™m going there for dinner ๐Ÿ™‚
