Boston Area Forecast – Sunday Morning Update

Here’s another quick update on the forecast for the Boston area ahead of the full discussion and forecast for the week ahead to be posted this evening. Have a great day!

TODAY: Lots of clouds into midday then increasing sun (clouds may hang on SE of Boston and over Cape Ann longer). High from the lower 60s coast to upper 60s well inland. Wind E 5-15 MPH.

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy. Low 45-50 inland, 50-55 coast. Wind E under 10 MPH.

MONDAY: Partly cloudy. Slight risk of an isolated shower especially in the Route 95 corridor from late morning through late afternoon. High from the lower 60s coast to near 70 well inland.  Wind E up to 10 MPH.

TUESDAY: Mostly cloudy. Isolated showers mainly west of Boston. Low 55. High 70.

WEDNESDAY: Partly cloudy. Low 55. High 76.

THURSDAY: Mostly cloudy. Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Low 59. High 78.

FRIDAY: Partly sunny. Low 57. High 71.

  1. No surprise on the CPC. We remain in an overall warm regime. Chilly shots can and do occur during warm regimes, just as warmups occur during cold regimes.

    Didn’t like the GFS trying to make it look persistently cold on previous runs. This is usually in error when you see it, knowing you are in a warm regime via more reliable data.
