Boston MA and Seattle WA will be twins on opposite coasts Monday, both having a high temperature in the lower to middle 50s with wet weather. Boston’s soaker will be caused by continued influence of broad upper level low pressure and a couple of surface lows (one going out south of New England and another one backing down the coast from Maine and joining the other). In addition, minor to moderate coastal flooding is likely around the times of high tide, especially the Monday night high tide which will be astronomically high. The entire circulation will then sink south and east through midweek, and it will take much of the week to finally work out of its influence. The wettest weather of Monday will ease slightly Tuesday then moreso during the Wednesday-Friday period, but as more and more breaks in the clouds take place that will only set the stage for afternoon showers and thunderstorms to develop over inland locations mid to late week. Looking ahead to the weekend, further improvement and a warm-up should take place.<\/p>\n
