The next several days will see a quiet battle of high pressure to the north and low pressure to the south. A weak boundary with a disturbance moving along it has really only been able to produce some clouds across western and southern New England during the day Saturday, but these have battled drier air trying to press in from the north and plenty of sun has been enjoyed in much of the forecast area. This high pressure area will win the battle Sunday through Tuesday, and it will press far enough south so that winds that will be mainly north to east on Sunday will turn more southerly by late Monday and Tuesday. By midweek, low pressure will start to win out for a couple days as a frontal system moves in and provides an avenue to bring some moisture into the region. High pressure will again push the unsettled stuff back to the south at the end of the week.<\/p>\n
