High pressure northeast of New England will keep the region marine-air-modified for one more day before slipping off to the south Tuesday through midweek, allowing a southwesterly flow and a building upper level ridge to throw summer into the area, right on schedule! Heat will build especially Wednesday and Thursday, with some record high temperatures being challenged especially Thursday. Thursday night and Friday morning, a cold front will cross the region (going with quicker timing at this point). This will dry the air out and cool it down very slightly on Friday and a little moreso over the weekend as an elongated upper level trough moves into the region.<\/p>\n
