The frontal boundary that went by over the weekend, ending our hot spell, sits just to our south. A couple of low pressure areas will move eastward along it today into Tuesday, the first of the two producing most of the rain south of I-90 but also bringing the potential for some narrow bands of more intense rainfall, and the second one bring a more general rain \/ drizzle producer across more of the region tonight into Tuesday. Precipitation amounts in a general sense will be lightest north of I-90 and heaviest from I-90 southward. There can be a few limited areas that see in excess of 3 inches, but a 1 to 3 inch rainfall is expected in those southern areas in general, with up to around 1 inch to the north. As the second low consolidates and intensifies a little through Tuesday, we&#8217;ll see enhanced wind near the South Coast, but you&#8217;ll notice it a bit breezy elsewhere in the region too. Finally this system moves away by early Wednesday with any lingering showers \/ drizzle tapering off and ending from west to east. Wednesday looks like a nice day as high pressure builds in with the return of sunshine and a nice warm-up, but fairly low humidity. This continues Thursday with modest humidity but a little dash of heat with some areas peaking around 90. This is not a return to the high heat of last week, and will also be short-lived, as a cold front moves in on Friday bringing lots of clouds, capping the heat, but spiking the humidity along with a shower and thunderstorm threat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>TODAY: Cloudy.
