DAYS 1-5 (SEPTEMBER 10-14)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A front moves offshore early today taking showers with it, the last of them moving across southeastern MA as I write this (about 7:00 a.m.). It’s a cold front, but the air is not exactly “cold” behind it. The upper air and drying surface support quite a warm day today with the aid of high pressure moving in aloft combined with a healthy downsloping westerly breeze at the surface. So today will bring the feel of mid summer, other than the sun angle now being noticeably lower than that time of year. The air does cool tonight and Friday as high pressure builds toward our region but Friday is a splendid mid September day! The high overhead allows Friday night to cool down quite a bit even though some cloudiness slides by our region. Sunshine dominates Saturday as high pressure sits atop our region – a perfect day for outdoor activities! High pressure slides offshore Saturday night and sits to our east Sunday and Monday. Shorter range model guidance has shifted to a wetter look for a portion of Sunday with lots of clouds and shower chances. I’m leaning this way, but not quite as much as the guidance is, and for only a part of the day. Timing is still to be refined but as of this update I am leaning toward pre-dawn to mid morning for the greatest Sunday shower threat, after which we’ll see at least some partial clearing and a “not-bad” day, albeit noticeably more humid. With systems a bit more pronounced, i.e. Sunday’s disturbance forming a low pressure area as it moves out, and a little more defined high pressure area coming in behind it, Monday’s weather looks fair but less humid as a little bit of Canadian air would get pulled into the region. Temperatures do remain above normal as there is not a notable delivery of cool air with that high.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
TODAY: Clouds and showers depart southeastern MA first thing, otherwise sun and patchy clouds. Humidity notable but reducing later. Highs 80-87 except sub-80 particularly near the South Coast. Wind W 5-15 MPH, gusts 20-25 MPH.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
TONIGHT: Partly cloudy. Lows 51-58. Wind W to NW 5-15 MPH.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
FRIDAY: Sun and passing clouds. Highs 70-77. Wind NW 5-15 MPH.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SUNDAY: Cloudy start with showers and patchy fog, then clouds break for sun by midday on. Humid. Highs 71-78. Wind S 5-15 MPH shifts to W.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Warm but fair September 15. Shower potential early September 16 with a passing frontal system. Dry, cooler later September 16 through September 18 followed by a warm-up at the end of the period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
DAYS 11-15 (SEPTEMBER 20-24)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
