Enjoy the mid autumn summer recall, because some changes are incoming! It starts with an increase in clouds tonight and Thursday (some limited sun during the day) as a trough and cold front approach our area from the west. Shower activity should stay to our west during the day Thursday, but a few may work in at night as the front moves into the region, then slows down and comes to a &#8220;shaky stop&#8221; &#8211; aka quasi-stationary. During Friday this front hangs about in the region and a wave of low pressure will bring periodic rain with embedded heavier showers, perhaps and axis of convectively-driven heavier rainfall which can hang around into the early hours of Saturday. The greatest chance for heaviest rainfall appears to be near or east of I-95, but will monitor trends on short range guidance leading up to this event as it can result in some local flooding, especially as drains start to become leaf-clogged. During the day Saturday the front pushes offshore but we still have a trough and upper low to move through, which will take their time doing so, resulting in a day filled with cloudiness and the chance of additional shower activity, particularly that evening. This will exit early Sunday, and any clouds and showers should clear the coast by sunrise, leading to a day of mixed sun and clouds, an active breeze, and drying out with cooler air having arrived.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>TODAY: Mostly sunny.
