Rain from advancing warm air aloft above cooler air at the surface, and additional tropical moisture from Tropical Storm Andrea, which is riding up the East Coast to pass over or near Cape\u00a0 Cod early Saturday, will bring beneficial rain to much of the region through early Saturday morning. In fact too much rain may fall in some places, resulting in stream and street flooding. The heaviest rain from this event is likely to be over interior eastern MA, with less toward Cape Cod. Winds, though they may be gusty especially over Cape Cod, will not pose a significant problem with the passage of the tropical low.<\/p>\n
It looks like things move along quickly enough so that part of Saturday is salvaged, though a final disturbance may bring a few showers at night. Sunday will be the pick of the weekend with a weak\u00a0 high pressure sliver bringing fairly nice weather. This won’t last though, because another low pressure trough will swing from the Great Lakes into the Northeast early next week, bringing a return to unsettled weather.<\/p>\n
