Southeastern New England will sit on the edge of a couple waves of low pressure through Wednesday, close enough for some cloudiness but rain should remain mostly offshore. The air flow between low pressure to the south and high pressure to the north will be easterly, and may bring in enough low level moisture for some low clouds and perhaps some drizzle for a time Tuesday night or early Wednesday. By Thursday, we’ll get rid of those lows and be in a southerly flow ahead of an approaching cold front. Current timing suggests this front will come through early Friday with a threat of showers, then introduce a drier and cool air mass for the weekend followed by a slight warm-up heading into early next week.<\/p>\n
Astronomically high tides associated with the Full Harvest Moon may be enhanced by the easterly flow through Tuesday night, resulting in some minor coastal flooding in areas prone to it.<\/p>\n
