Low pressure east of New England continues to send lobes of moisture, mainly in the form of cloudiness, southwestward and southward into southern New England. This continues through Friday which will be the day with the most extensive cloudiness at least through midday. Some drier air working on from the northeast may break up the clouds later in the day. We’re still looking at improvement during the weekend but there will be some lingering cloudiness around on Saturday due to chilly air aloft, and additional development of clouds on Sunday from a small disturbance coming in from the west. But overall, the weekend will be favorable with a trend toward warmer weather. It still looks like a more widespread southwest flow will warm most areas Monday with the exception of the South Coast where the wind is still off the water even from the southwest. With cool air not that far away in Canada we’ll likely see a boundary sink southward into the region during Tuesday and push a little further south on Wednesday of next week. If all goes well, a warmer push of air returns Thursday as we\u00a0 make an attempt to get into a pattern that features milder to warmer weather more often than the cool stuff.
