DAYS 1-5…
\nThe Dog Days are over (they run July 3 through August 11 by definition) but the dogs are arriving late this season as we’ll be seeing some heat building into the region during the next 5 days. It doesn’t hit right away, however. First we go through a weak warm front \/ cold front combination later today through Saturday, moisture starved and falling apart, producing only some cloudiness later today as showers to the northwest never get close, then some additional cloudiness for Saturday with a relatively low risk of a few showers and thunderstorms. By Sunday, high pressure builds overhead then sinks to the south, allowing for the heat to build in by the start of the week. By late Tuesday, a thunderstorm threat exists as a cold front approaches from the north.
\nTODAY: Mostly sunny to partly cloudy. Highs 73-78 Cape Cod and immediate coast, 78-83 elsewhere. Wind light variable in the morning, light SE to S in the afternoon.
\nTONIGHT: Partly to mostly cloudy. Lows in the 60s. Wind light S.
\nSATURDAY: Variably cloudy. Slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs 75-82 Cape Cod and South Coast, 80s elsewhere. Wind light SW.
\nSUNDAY: Mostly sunny. Lows in the 60s. Highs 84-91.
\nMONDAY: Mostly sunny. Lows 65-72. Highs 86-93.
