\nWarm front today causes areas of light rain\/sleet to start the day then the rain should become very patchy and remain generally well northwest of Boston by afternoon, allowing for OK conditions for the Red Sox home opener this afternoon. A cold front moves in Tuesday with more widespread rainfall. Continuing with the idea of a slow progression of this front offshore so lingering cloudiness Wednesday, then high pressure building in later in the week but its center remaining north of the region allowing a cooler north to northeast wind to dominate.
\nTODAY: Mostly cloudy. Spotty light rain and sleet possible in the morning then scattered rain showers mainly northwest of Boston in the afternoon. Highs in the 50s. Wind light SE morning, shifting to SW increasing to 10-20 MPH with higher gusts in the afternoon.
