\nA brief shot of September heat and humidity today will be cut off at the pass by a cold front, which during its afternoon passage will produce some showers and thunderstorms, a few of which may be strong. Keep a close eye on the weather today. Not expecting widespread severe storms but any storm may produce strong and possibly damaging wind. After this gets out of here by evening, it’s back to cooler and dry weather for Thursday and Friday followed by a slight warm-up Saturday. This will lead to the next shower threat on Sunday as the next cold front arrives.
