\nHigh pressure hangs on today then slides to the east as a Pacific cold front approaches from the west then passes through the region tonight bringing a minor amount of rain with some freezing rain over the interior where it is cold enough. Then the story is the mild air for midweek, especially Thursday, when some record high temperatures may be challenged. Another cold front passes through Thursday night and cools it down slightly for Friday, but clouds will dominate and as the front tries to return as a warm front, some wet weather is possible later Friday. A stronger low pressure area will track through the Great Lakes and drag a cold front toward the region Saturday with wet and mild weather ahead of it.
