\nLow pressure will track southeastward across New England today, accompanied by a pool of cold air aloft, and this will trigger showers and possible thunderstorms that may contain small hail. The storms themselves, if they occur, won’t be particularly strong. The hail may occur even with just showers as it is very cold above. Improvement follows midweek, though it may be slow to start on Wednesday. Nicer weather overall late week but the active pattern still brings the chance of a passing shower or thunderstorm Friday with a cold front, and then an approaching warm front and low pressure system may threaten the region with rain as early as Saturday night.
