Thanks Vicki for sharing the Dr. Fauci interview yesterday in the previous post. I was somewhat puzzled though that Dr. Fauci would be “happy” if the Covid vaccine is 50-70% effective, assuming I understood him correctly.
For my taste, I want a vaccine to be 90% + effective like the ones we already have. I personally want this dreaded virus totally wiped out! Worst case scenario, 80-85% effective.
I certainly appreciate his knowledge and all, but he seems almost “too nice” at times. Not that he should be a total jerk either. It’s just that I just don’t get him sometimes.
I noticed that also and will have to relisten. I thought he preceded that comment by saying no vaccine is perfect so 50-70% for a first pass would be a good start. I could have heard that somewhere else though. I’ll check and get back to you.
I did mean to mention Fauci’s comment That the beauty of science is that it is always evolving. You can tell someone that two months ago they were wrong. Fauci said you were not wrong. You were acting on the science and information you knew then. Science is self correcting.
Something I truly believe applies to weather as a branch of science and well worth remembering

So the ads weren’t there yesterday? I only started viewing today. I thought the ads begging for donations were annoying as well.
It is ultimately up to those eligible to vote to get out on Election Day or whenever prior to get Biden into office. Sadly there are too many divisions within the parties as well as between them.
No. Ads were not in the one I watched. Just one at the start. And yes absolutely annoying.
Overall trendline is down nationwide for cases, hospitalizations, and deaths. But, I wish the slope was steeper, especially regarding hospitalizations and deaths.
