  1. I heard on the evening news yesterday that those with Type O blood have a reduced risk of Covid-19.

Have you heard of this latest, Joshua?

I have Type O blood, btw.

  2. A lot of the south shore has moved into the red zone including my town last night & some are in the yellow zone . It’s ticking up & once the second wave is officially here and the flu & other respiratory illnesses kick in it’s going too be rough going .

    1. A lot of the state has moved into the red zone that were yellow, green or even “clear” just a month ago.

    1. The BTU is “not” giving up, however. Not sure what their next move is though.

From what I’ve been hearing from the medical community lately (including Dr. Fauci himself), they seem very much on board with in person or hybrid learning. I don’t understand why only Boston teachers have issues with it compared to other school districts from what I can tell.

  3. Latest numbers in U.S. not encouraging. https://twitter.com/COVID19Tracking/status/1316882300072792066

Latest numbers in parts of Europe are very discouraging. This is weather-related, in my opinion. Actually, both trends are: U.S. and Europe. Our weather has generally been better than in Europe until now. Certainly warmer to allow for more outdoor activities. Most of Europe has been indoors since early September, with frequent spells of rain and cooler temperatures.

Latest news on the vaccines and therapeutics are expected delays in both. I never expected a vaccine or novel therapeutic to be approved this month. But, I do expect one or two to be approved for emergency use by the end of the year, and for regular use by spring or summer.

I disagree with the airlines’ assessment that things won’t get back to normal until 2024. History tells us a VERY different story. Things were back to normal by 1920 after the Spanish Flu hit. That was a more powerful virus. I sincerely expect things to be back to normal by 2022, if not autumn of 2021.
