  1. Joshua,Kim not sure if you saw my question last night re increase in Covid in wastewater.

Could schools be one reason. To date, so schools go…so Covid cases go.

Also I posted a comment by dewald. I won’t repost. It knocked her down a few rungs IMO

  2. I heard some good news on the radio this morning for a change with relation to Covid.

According to the CDC, all of Massachusetts is now at a “low” risk for Covid. Just a few weeks ago, it was a “medium” risk for eastern Massachusetts.

Also, according to the CDC, only cities of Miami/Tampa and Philadelphia are still at “high” risk in the U.S.

Joshua, does this mean that we are coming down the home stretch on this pandemic? Are we actually better than Japan at this point?

  3. Philip, Vicki, to answer both your questions, I think we’re headed in the right direction but it’s a slow process. I’m puzzled by the rising levels of Covid in the wastewater nationwide. Could be schools reopening. I don’t know. Generally, cases have been decreasing somewhat, though deaths are still around 450 a day. Obviously, we should keep an eye on BJ.1 or any other variant. Also, everyone who is vulnerable should not only get a booster but also a flu shot. I think the flu season will be harsh, given what we’ve observed in Australia and New Zealand. I think the best time to get a booster and flu shot is next month. While I am not considered vulnerable I am getting a booster shot. I’d like to wait a little longer to see what the real world data have to say about any adverse events. I’m not expecting anything untoward, by the way.

    1. Thank Joshua. I agree re next month. I’ve said before that even with the shot ive consistently broken through in late March or April. No one will ever convince me it is good for more than six months .

Too soon to know if schools contribute but worth keeping an eye.
