Tuesday Forecast

6:57AM

DAYS 1-5 (JULY 2-6)
A disturbance moves through the region this morning with cloudiness and may even shower for a bit in southern NH and northeastern MA, but that’s gone by afternoon, though clouds may linger to the south a while longer, and it turns quite warm during the day with a west wind. High pressure settles in for Wednesday, a sunnier day start to finish but also with a better chance for coastal sea breezes. High pressure remains in control Thursday (Independence Day) and Friday with increasing heat and humidity, though Thursday may still see light cooling sea breezes right at the beaches. A cold front will approach Saturday, a hotter/humid day, bringing a chance of a few thunderstorms.

  1. Heading to Hampton Beach. The clouds always do me a favor when we have these disturbances timed like this. Nobody shows up at the beach until after noon time and I have my choice of parking spaces and nobody in line in front of me at Sea Ketch for breakfast. 😉

    1. I just checked each of our main stations….all three have a forecast identical to TKs. Not sure what you are looking at. Maybe post a source.

  2. I tried to put link – not sure that’s allowed – usual outlet that has every weekend in the summer as a “rain disaster” . Just to underscore the point that” it’s all about the clicks”

    1. Just this morning a WBZ radio newscaster called for a “weekend washout” even though the Accuweather.com met earlier said no such thing. It’s not just the apps misleading the public.

        1. Hahahaha. Local for you in NH. And sorry to see that.

On another note, I got a ring camera for my birthday. Now to get someone to set it up. Also got a trail cam by bushnell that we will put in the woods on the hill

          1. Its very easy setup, two remove the two wires from the door bell and connect to the ring camera.

Your son in-law should have not problem. The app set up is very easy as well.

            1. Thanks. He needs a ladder to reach but hopefully this weekend. We have a doe visiting each morning and Im always sleeping.

  3. During the summer months it is rare to have an all day wash out. When someone says weekend washout it is high unlikely it will be raining from 12am Sat to 12am Mon.

  4. Thank you, TK.

Thanks for sharing the Sutton independence day festivities, Vicki.

    Have a great vacation, Sue.

    Happy Birthday, Matt!

I hope the limited heat and humidity continue. We’ll see.

Sox are in desperation mode, but also displaying remarkable cheapness. Ownership said they’re “losing money,” and will not spend on relievers. Since when did the Red Sox lose money. I highly doubt they’re “losing money.” I’m livid when I hear billionaires cry poor. So, Eovaldi will be the closer, despite having never saved a game in his career. Betts will go the all-star game, despite not being an all-star. What you see this year is the real Mookie Betts, I’m afraid. I’ve never thought a lot of him as a player. He’s certainly not a perennial superstar a la Mike Trout. Bogaerts will not go to the all-star game, which is an unfair snub. Time to sell, in my opinion. Load up the farm system and infuse some fresh talent by trading Betts, Porcello, Martinez, and others.

    1. The Yankees are playing much like the Red Sox last year. I would say the Yankees should be favored to win it all, unfortunately. 🙁

Red Sox made ZERO moves during the off-season while the Yankees were “movers-and-shakers” so to speak. Kiss the 2019 postseason goodbye.

      1. #28? So hard to keep track. If it wasn’t for the Celtics, Boston teams would never have double-digit championships. I believe the Montreal Canadiens have 20+ also.

  5. Happy Birthday to Matt!!! Today is my younger son’s “half” birthday. For some reason he thinks he should get presents today too. I set him straight on that one. 🙂 Enjoy YOUR day Matt!

      1. LOL…good idea! Maybe I will give him half of an Xbox gift card and he can try to guess the second half of the code to redeem. 🙂

    1. My kids always thought they should have presents on their half birthday. I never knew where that came from either

  6. Happy Birthday Matt!!!
Philip it would be the Yankees 28 World Series Championship if they win. Right now to me its the Yankees Dodgers and Astros are the teams that will win the World Series. My preseason pick was Yankees over the Dodgers in The World Series.

      1. Not even fans…..

There are times I can’t help myself. This appears to be one of them. 😈

  7. My stepdad who is a Red Sox fan said this weekend watching the Yankees and Red Sox in London its the Yankees year.

    1. The Yankees are the most successful sports franchise ever. Sure, they’ve had down years, but throughout my lifetime they’ve been remarkably good most of the time. The same applies to when my father was growing up, and when my grandfather was growing up. I have tremendous respect for the Yankee organization. I feel horrible when they win, but their mentality and professionalism are second to none. This is why I do NOT understand the hatred spewed towards the New England Patriots outside of New England. The Patriots during the last 20 years exemplify a `Yankee’ attitude. I would think that people would respect that.

      1. Not to mention the Montreal Canadiens who have won tons of Stanley Cups as well. I believe close to the same amount of Yankees championships. Not sure the exact number.

    1. The Canadiens have had lots of Cups, but they’re a bit like the Celtics in recent decades: Great franchises resting on their laurels, if you will. I believe the Canadiens’ last Cup was in 1993. The Celtics won in 2008, but hadn’t won since 1986.

      1. It’s starting to become a long time since 2008. I believe the smartphone just came on the market that year. A lot of technology has been achieved if you think about it, not to mention social aspects as well.

        1. I learned to use the first “word processor” in the mid 1970s. We typed onto a mag tape, had to know how to back up to edit and then we could print. Then I learned to code the mag tape for a photo processor for our publications. It was the precursor to HTML which was relatively easy for me because the concept was the same.

We sure have come a long way but I suspect the millennials will be saying the same in 40 years
