The Week Ahead (Plus)

11:40PM

We’ve had some nice weather lately. And now it’s time for some pay back, in the form of unsettled weather for the next 5 days. There is some good news in here. Any rain that falls will be beneficial as we remain in a deficit. Rain also reduces pollen counts for allergy sufferers. And it is also possible that weather will improve in time for the Memorial Day Weekend. But before we get to that, it’s all about the unsettled, as a front wavers around the region and low pressure disturbances travel along it. Details will be determined by the position of the front and the timing of disturbances. This is hard to figure out several days in advance, so generic wording will follow in this forecast based on my best guess, with frequent short-term updates coming during the days ahead.

Forecast for southeastern New England…

OVERNIGHT: Cloudy. Areas of light rain, ending by dawn. Patchy fog. Lows 50-55. Wind S under 10 MPH.

MONDAY: Mostly cloudy with patchy fog in the morning. Partly sunny with isolated to scattered showers and possibly a thunderstorm, especially well inland, in the afternoon. Highs in the 70s, 60s some coastal areas. Wind variable but mostly S 5-15 MPH.

MONDAY NIGHT: Partly to mostly cloudy. Areas of fog. Chance of a few showers. Lows in the 50s. Wind S under 10 MPH may shift to E or NE late.

TUESDAY: Cloudy. Periodic showers. Patchy fog. Highs in the 60s. Wind E up to 10 MPH.

WEDNESDAY: Partly sunny. Isolated showers. Low 55. High 65 coast to 75 inland.

THURSDAY: Partly sunny. PM thunderstorms. Low 55. High 75.

FRIDAY: Mostly cloudy. Showers likely. Low 55. High 65.

SATURDAY: Partly sunny. Low 48. High 63.

SUNDAY: Partly cloudy. Low 48. High 68.

MONDAY – MEMORIAL DAY: Mostly sunny. Low 51. High 74

  1. Thanks TK.
Keeping an eye on the Thursday thunderstorm threat which have the POTENTIAL for a few potent storms west of the CT River Valley. At least Memorial Day weekend is looking nice and we get this humidity out of here.

      1. Phew – I’ve been worrying I set of a barrage of wishes for the wrong day ………. 🙂

  2. Thanks all. We leave a bit later today. Will return Wednesday night.
My wife is scared to death. She hates to fly and she is certain it will be
a white knuckle flight with extreme turbulence and she is afraid we’ll get clocked by one of these monster wedge tornadoes while we are there. Unfortunately, I could not totally dismiss any of it except to say it was not probable, but possible.

Ft. Worth is in the 5% chance of tornado area for today.

    http://www.spc.noaa.gov/products/outlook/day1otlk.html

    1. Thanks OS for the link. My business associate just arrived in Milwaukee and I will let him know he’s also in the slight risk area.

I do not blame your wife one bit. Tell her lots of prayers are traveling with her 🙂

  3. I listened to Jim Cantore on the Today show this morning. He was saying that the new mobile vehicles, etc allow the chasers to be in the midst of the outbreak and that it gives the confirmation to people in the area that there is in fact a tornado(s) on the ground. Otherwise, he said they tend to not believe there is?????

Maybe people become immune to warnings? I don’t understand that but then I don’t live in an area where you may receive them on a more than regular basis.

I did see video of one of the weather channel teams in the middle of the cell. I wasn’t sure whether to feel terrified for them or be awed by their commitment…..maybe both.

    1. Vicki,

When my son was visiting friends in Edmond, OK with the Tornado
watch up he was told that this happens all the time in the Spring. He
even indicated that even when the warnings go out, nothing ever happens.
I think it is clearly a case of crying wolf one too many times, so people
tend to ignore the warnings. Oh here we go again, another warning where
      nothing will happen.

It is a tough situation, because the warnings are appropriate. Not sure
how one deals with Human emotions in these cases.

I think Cantore is correct. IF the populace can have a VISUAL of that tornado
on the ground or at least some sort of CONFIRMATION, then they will take a warning seriously. I think what KFOR was doing yesterday was providing in invaluable service to the public.

      1. Amazing. I agree that the service they are providing – certainly with the potential of injury to themselves – is invaluable. I guess sometimes I question human nature. My jaw dropped when I was listening to him. But then we see it here with storms also – ours don’t as often have the potential for huge loss of life fortunately.

  4. Happy Birthday TK.

Just remember, no mater how old you get, you will NEVER catch up to me! 😀 😀

  5. Happy birthday tk. Tomorrow will not be a washout will it. What I’m seeing and hearing is a day kind of like today.

    1. Actually quite different than today around here. Ocean wind, 60s, probably stuck in the stratus all day. Rain may be around but very limited I think.

  6. Oh boy – If I’m wrong about today being your Birthday, TK……well, you might have to change it after all the well wishes 😉

  7. Happy Birthday, TK!
Wishing you the very best, and I hope all those birthday wishes come true for you!!!!

  8. Thanks and Happy Birthday, TK!

OS – have a safe trip!

Looks like kind of a summery week ahead – at least re: humidity and maybe some thunderstorms in some areas. We watched TWC last night and watched the tornadoes as they formed – interesting how they would recycle – they would weaken and rope out – then another wall cloud would develop and a bigger tornado developed. Very scary. I’m guessing we will get some severe thunderstorms this summer – hopefully nothing that bad.

  9. Interesting information from the Severe Storms Prediction center.
    Here is the website:

    http://www.spc.noaa.gov/exper/sref/index_old.html

Now for the Significant Tornado Parameter, which is A multiple ingredient, composite index that includes 0-6 km bulk wind difference (6BWD), 0-1 km storm-relative helicity (SRH1), surface parcel CAPE (sbCAPE), and surface parcel LCL height (sbLCL).

A majority of significant tornadoes (F2 or greater damage) have been associated with STP values greater than 1, while most non-tornadic supercells have been associated with values less than 1 in a large sample of RAP analysis proximity soundings.

Here is today’s map for >=1 at 03Z or 10PM EDT, 9PM CDT:

Now, I’m not a Met nor am I a Severe Storm expert, but based on this, I’d say
there is a reasonable chance that we’ll be landing at DFW this evening under
    a Tornado Watch.

      1. I have to say, there is amazing material on this SPC website.
An absolutely invaluable tool for us Meteorologist wanna be’s!!
        😀 😀 😀

      1. Hi rainshine…..that and watching the weather channel crew in the car in the middle of the cell are enough to give anyone the chills. I absolutely could not live in an area that is tornado prone…..or I’d have a tornado celler and sleep there…………..well, maybe I’d just move in there………….during tornado season.

        1. Just came in from a nice walk. Very summery out. Nice light breeze doesn’t make the humidity too bad.

If I lived in a tornado prone area – as soon as a tornado watch, not even a warning was issued – I would be down in the cellar ’til the storms were totally over. But there would be a small part of me – that would be really curious and want to see what’s going on, espec. during the daylight hrs. But I would play it safe and stay indoors.

  10. If today’s temps are indications of things to come, particularly Thursday with 16C at 850mb, then perhaps forecasting 85F to 90F for Thursday is not a stretch.

    1. Hmm New one popped up just a few minutes later for Oklahoma
down into North Texas, but NOT the Dallas-Ft. worth area. Close, though.

  11. I have a funny feeling it is someone else’s birthday on here also??? I know there are a few coming up so maybe that’s what I am remembering.

Do you have some special plans TK?

    1. Well I always listen to some certain music, like many songs from 1967, and a tape my brother made for me in 1992 for my 25th. Sgt. Pepper’s LHCB album, Tears For Fears Greatest Hits, and then I’m watching the Wizard of Oz DVD I have because I have not seen the extras on this one.

      1. watches even state around the watch so even if you are outside of the yellow box areas near by has almost the same chance of seeing one.

  12. In the last 4 hrs, with a light ESE wind, the Boston Harbor Buoy water temp has jumped from 54F to 59F !! Guess there’s already a shallow layer of warming water out there.

  13. Happy Birthday TK!!! Hope your day is perfect!

OS…wishing you and your wife safe travels.

  14. Just received breaking news from CNN …..

National Weather Service issues a rare tornado emergency for the Oklahoma City area as at least one twister touches down.

    1. The governor is on CNN. She said an Air Force base, GM plant and school are in the path.

  15. Horrific video from S. Oklahoma City. A strip of homes, businesses and land completely wiped off the face of the earth.

    1. They are showing two schools destroyed. Beyond awful. They are announcing the name of the elementary school. I can’t imagine ……….you can’t watch it without crying. I don’t know if school was in session.

      1. We were watching and my husband made me shut it off – it is making us both sick. My thoughts and prayers are for everybody affected by this tornado.

As much as I am fascinated by tornadoes – no, not this. Not this. I am starting to cry. I love the weather, but not this.

        1. It is unfortunately, what the atmosphere is capable of at full potential when all the necessary ingredients come together.

          1. I know, Tom. Just watching the tornado develop and grow can be fascinating – but what is really going on beneath is what is real and bad. The worse thing of all is watching it all and we have no control over any of it.

  16. Keeping a good thought for the people affected by this devastating tornado in Moore, Oklahoma.

    1. Another tornado is on the ground in a rural area. I can’t understand where. Red or ridge river maybe. Moving toward Ardmore and other populated area around the I35?

  17. Happy birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry I haven’t been on here in a while! But since I had my last final today and I am now officially done with school I will be more on top of things! 🙂

  18. Watched the nat’l news and the scene is beyond devastation. Winds may have hit 200 MPH. No reports on injuries/deaths. They have found children alive in the school.

      1. I was in an earhquake and lost my house to it and it was scary, but I can’t imagine a tornado.

  19. I just saw CNN and they said 6 dead. I love weather and watching storms but I hate to say something like this.

  20. Now that number is up to 10 dead and I fear that number may go up. Of course Moore was hit by an E F 5 tornado in May 1999.

    1. JJ or anyone. It looks on radar that this system is heading NE toward Milwaukee where my partner is. Am I seeing this wrong? I sure hope so

I also hope OS can get on here to say they landed safely

            1. It looks on the nws radar that the line might go just east of Milwaukee and will become unorganized I hope

  21. Cap must have been broken locally. Some very big cumulus clouds and I just saw that storm out in the ocean, looking out to a sheet of white a couple miles offshore.

Watching the coverage of Moore, OK. Stunned by the devestation.

    1. I watched until about 10 minutes ago and had to turn it off. They said 30 sq miles still school children unaccounted for. In the blink of an eye 🙁

      1. Yeah, I just heard about that…. From the Tower school, elementary school. Tragic because, I’m not sure what could have been done, unless the schools are built with large underground sheltering areas.

        1. They were saying most houses and buildings don’t have basements because its built on rock and ledge. The walls are cinderblock enforced but that won’t withstand that magnitude.

  22. Up here we have early dismissal when snow or ice is in the forecast or even call school off. I guess my question is when tornadoes are forecasted why not let the schools out early to get kids out of there?

    1. I was thinking the same JJ. My daughters said they wouldn’t send their kids. But I wonder. We have warning for snow. You would all be better than I in knowing whether the threat can be a Daily occurrence or occasional

  23. The big months for tornadoes in that part of the country are in April but more so in May.

  24. Happy birthday TK!

Very sad pictures and news out of Oklahoma. That’s area got hit in 1999 and 2003 by very strong tornadoes. I hope they find the 24 missing children safe.

  25. Hey guys, I don’t post often, but rely on y’all for the best forecasts in NE. I’m out chasing storms now, and the last two days have been powerful, in many ways. The Globe asked me to write up something and I did tonight in the van after chasing in Oklahoma the last two days. Thought I would share it with y’all first.

    May 20, 2013.

I’m in our chase van driving south on I35 towards Dallas. We have rooms booked for the night just north of the city and will be pursuing yet another system of severe weather tomorrow in that area. Today we woke up in Shawnee OK, perhaps a mile or so from where a powerful tornado destroyed dozens of homes and killed two people. Our group leader lives in Shawnee, and his wife was at home and evacuated to a local shelter during the storm. Their home was spared, but tonight in Moore OK many others were not so fortunate.

Moore is next door to Norman OK, which is our ‘base camp’ when we assemble together to chase storms each spring. We have friends there who work in hotels and restaurants we frequent, and others who live in the area. While on the road today we were shocked by the reports that we could only observe in glimpses. We went south, driving right through Moore, this morning; along with hundreds of other storm chasers who all saw the same data and felt that the unpopulated areas well south of Oklahoma City was the smart bet today. A few did decide to stay north, and last we heard many were aiding in search and rescue efforts.

Sunday afternoon I was looking at a very short lived tornado out of my van window touch down perhaps 50 feet from me near Viola Kansas. It was thrilling, and as always profoundly affecting. Nature humbles us, in ways both beautiful, and horrific.

    Today has been about horrific.

It is hard to put into words how we all feel right now; maybe our experience last month in Boston gives me a unique perspective. The first bomb that Monday went off in front of the building where my father used to work, and a few doors down from Old South Church, where my mom was ordained and on many Sundays gave sermons. The car chase that Thursday night ended about a block from the house where I lived as a young boy in Watertown. It was a week of horror, and a week where Boston stood up tall and strong, and showed good in the face of evil.

Tornadoes aren’t evil, they are random acts of nature, but the literal effects can easily be far worse. Moore will now become the only town to ever be hit twice by an EF-5 tornado, and an EF-4 as well, in 1999 and 2003.

As chasers we do more than observe and record some of the extremes of nature, the internet has allowed us to collectively create a large network of trained and experienced people who are available to the National Weather Service both in reporting what we see, and also at times being available to answer questions from them directly. We all use GPS and radar to show our locations and contact information in real time. And even on a day like today, when most of us saw the same data and all made the same wrong guess, a few saw things differently and were there on the ground when this worst possible scenario unfolded. I have no idea tonight if chasers helped report the initial funnel cloud faster than it may have been otherwise, but I wouldn’t be surprised. Even an extra minute can save scores of lives in a situation like that. May of 2012 saw the fewest tornado related deaths in the US in recorded history. Calm weather had much to do with that, but tornadoes did happen, and chasers were out there on their own dime doing their best to pitch in.

I wish we could do more. Maybe tomorrow we will be in the wrong place at the right time, and have the chance to do our part. I know that any of my many chaser friends feel exactly the same way.

Chris Curtis. From the road in northern Texas.

  26. My thoughts and prayers go out to all affected by the severe weather over the past few days, especially those in Moore OK.

Thanks for sharing your article, Chris! Be Safe!!!

Questions – Were several tornadoes were wrapped within the larger mile wide area of weather? In a couple of videos I thought I saw one or two funnels form and then reform near the edge of the main tornado.

    1. Sorry about the typo. Correction-
Question- Were several tornadoes wrapped within the larger mile wide area of circulation?

  27. Thank you Chris for sharing your perspective. I’ve read it several times. Also thank you and all of the other chasers who do all that you do to make people aware of the storm in the area and then are on the scene to help those whose lives are forever affected. Stay safe please!

  28. I have a question also. What is it about “tornado alley” that makes it so tornado prone? And is there a specific area such as Moore OK that is more prone that others within tornado alley?

    1. Lots of things Vicki, but a big part is its geographic location versus what surrounds it.

There’s the warm, humid Gulf of Mexico to its south and east, there’s the very dry intermountain region to its west and Canada is close enough to its northwest to create cool, dry air to its north and west.

Then, it usually receives some very dynamic storms off of the Pacific that energize the Jet Stream or provide extreme lift in the atmosphere.

The land is flat, so there’s nothing very frictional near the surface to interupt these monsters once there wound up.

Finally, its an area where there’s a lot of turning of the wind with height. Usually, the surface wind is SE off of the Gulf of Mexico, several thousand feet off of the ground, its more SSW and at the jet stream level, its WSW. So with height, its a natural rotation of the winds.

  29. I would not rule out some of these storms today and Thursday being strong but I think the threat of severe level is low both days. I am going with a 1 for both today and Thursday meaning should the thunderstorms fire they will be below severe levels.
Keeping a good thought for those affected in Oklahoma. I love tracking thunderstorms but never want to see anything like this happen anywhere.

  30. The sun has burnt off the low clouds to reveal a mostly sunny late morning and the wind seems to have come around to SSW.

Some cumuls clouds starting to develop….. wonder if there’s going to be some strong thunderstorms later.

  31. They dropped the death toll in OK to 24 from 51. Somehow I think that should be good news but it’s hard to think of 24 people lost ….if that makes any sense. I know for sure it could have been so much worse.

  32. Tom I would not rule out some strong storms for interior parts of SNE. The dew points are up there which is one ingredient you need for thunderstorm development. Weak instability however may keep the storms in check.

    1. Meant to say weak shear may keep the storms in check. Instablity parameters in that 1,000 – 2,000 range. When you get 1,000 jkg
you can get strong thunderstorms to develop.

…SCATTERED STRONG TO POSSIBLY SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS POSSIBLE THIS
    AFTERNOON…

A COLD FRONT DROPPING SOUTH FROM NORTHERN NEW ENGLAND WILL BECOME
THE FOCUS FOR SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS TO DEVELOP EARLY THIS
    AFTERNOON.

THUNDERSTORMS WERE ALREADY FORMING IN SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE LATE
THIS MORNING. ADDITIONAL STORMS WILL DEVELOP ACROSS
MASSACHUSETTS…NORTHERN CONNECTICUT AND NORTHERN RHODE ISLAND
AFTER NOON…ESPECIALLY NEAR THE MASS PIKE.

SOME STORMS MAY PRODUCE STRONG AND POSSIBLY DAMAGING WIND GUSTS
AND HAIL…IN ADDITION TO LIGHTNING AND HEAVY RAINFALL.

IF YOU HAVE OUTDOOR PLANS…HAVE A SAFE PLACE TO GO TO IF
THUNDERSTORMS APPROACH…SUCH AS A VEHICLE OR INSIDE A HOME OR
BUILDING. REMEMBER…IF YOU CAN HEAR THUNDER YOU ARE CLOSE
ENOUGH TO BE STRUCK BY LIGHTNING.

  34. YIKES

Ft. Worth under Tornado Watch. TWC Torcon=6
Wife is frightened to death. I am quite concerned to say the least.

    More later all.

    1. OS – take care. Tell your wife she could not be with anyone more knowledgeable about what to do.

  35. JJ, Are you keeping your storm threat level at a (1) for today, or are you considering raising it?

    1. Hi Shotime…. I may have to raise it to a 2 for parts of the interior. I was thinking earlier their could be some strong storms across the interior. The storm prediction has put parts of interior SNE in a slight risk for severe weather today and says a severe thunderstorm watch is possible.
This will not a be big severe weather outbreak.

  36. Nasty sticky here. It always bothers me more until I get used to it. 84.6 deg and 68 dp – lots of sun an cumulus clouds mixed.

I don’t know how accurate that future radar is on the weather.com site but it shows a strong line of storms heading through DFW area around 5:00ish, OS.

  37. When I get on my global warming, the climate is changing slowly speech and then I always struggle with specific examples ….. well, today is exhibit A….

Supposed to be a backdoor coldfront today, which in April, May and early June usually have the upper hand in easily charging through our region.

Last night, even this morning, everyone thought the temps would struggle along the coastline to rise much from the morning values and that Boston’s suburbs would be briefly in the 70s, then fall back. Um ………. how are the 80s working for everyone, I think Marshfield just went to 79F.

I’ll have to keep track of these. 🙂

    1. I like when you are on your global warming/climate changing track and thanks for posting that because I don’t know the little things to look for………but sure see some of the biggies!

  38. Well so far so good. It is cloudy with Zippo sunshine. Could be the saving factor.
Storms popping to the west. Nothing severe. Also looks like a line is setting up, another favorable factor that could contribute to no severe tornado. No discrete super cells at this point. I am watching closely. I have a tablet with me, so I have access to any site anywhere there is a cell phone signal with mobile broadband 4g.

    1. Very glad to hear you have a tablet with you so are aware of the radar at all times. I didn’t realize until all of the discussion yesterday that it is an isolated cell where the tornado is more likely to form because it doesn’t have to share energy. At least I think that’s what I understood.

      1. I got plenty of sunshine here where I am in CT and it feels like a July day. One severe thunderstorm keeping an eye
on moving to the southeast currently located south of the capital district of NY. It will be interesting to see if the NWS extends the warning as it looks like it could clip
parts of northwest CT. That storm has a history of producing quarter size hail and damaging winds as well as cloud
        to ground lightning.

  39. Severe Thunderstorm Watch up for a good portion of the interior of SNE until 9pm.
Thunderstorm Index is now up to a 2 since there is a threat of some severe storms and 1 outside of the watch box since I am expecting non severe thunderstorms. Some activity starting to fire across parts of upstate NY.

  40. And with my post above, the back door front charges through ! Thanks for the humble pie Mother Nature !!

Neat sky, definite line of growing cumulus clouds just to my south with the front, headed SSW. Maybe something will pop and head for Providence and New Bedford.

Low cloudiness coming in from the ocean. I’m guessing the temp dropped 15F to 20F in 10 minutes, with a gusty NE wind.

  41. Small cell to my northwest. Looks as if it’ll travel through Sudbury, Wayland, Wellesley and into Needham. Dont think we will get any more than some sound.

    1. Vicki, are there other towering cumulus clouds in the sky ? Just wondering if other cells are about to pop……

Also, a cell firing about 20 miles west of me, likely headed southward.

  42. Also of interest to me is the complex of nasty looking storms just north of Toronto. I wonder if those might travel eastward for a while, making for an interesting evening/night in central and northern New England…..

  43. Temp just dropped another 6 degrees – down to 70 with a 59 DP

    Hail is just BIG raindrops

  44. Sun is shining brightly out and it is literally pouring in Sudbury right now. Rainshine!! 🙂

  45. Sun is out here. Looks as if the cell is falling apart. The one coming into ma from ny seems to have held together all afternoon

  46. Looks like a line just went through DFW. I don’t think it had warnings attached. Its exactly what the weather.com future radar had. Just 10 minutes early. Hmm

Hope that’s it for you OS

        1. Everything looks to be headed se to ct and ri. West of you and me. I think Charlie’s and northeast area got a fair amount

  47. Another day of watching tornado warnings and bad storms – this time here in New England.

Looks like the east wind is saving part of MA from this severe weather, for now, anyway. Anybody missing the east wind from a few wks. ago yet?

  48. Wimpy line of storms went through ft. Worth. Just like Boston storms. Although about 15miles from here they had wind gust 74mph.

  49. Sky is really dark out here. Thunder, lightning and then calm and then back to it. Bulk is just skirting to the south of here by maybe only a few miles.

  50. Looks like one of the cells furthest to the east, just west of the Framingham area could be pulsing. Seems to get stronger then weaker. We are getting some thunder and it is darker here in Sudbury. I wonder if this particular cell is taking more of an easterly turn rather than a southeasterly direction.

        1. I just spoke to my sister who lives near Framingham State college and they are getting pounded with heavy rain and hail. This cell looks like it is heading our way in Sudbury – not sure that it will – it seems to be moving so slow. By the way, Vicki – I like your description – kissing your location. 🙂

          1. It’s the oddest thing. The cell was moving SE then either swelled or changed to a more easterly direction.

My youngest and family just took out pizza from la cantina and said it was worse there. Guess it really did just kiss us. Thunder was loud enuf for me to tell mac whoever got a direct hit was being pounded.

Nice light rain here now. Very welcome

  51. Thankfully the severe weather has stayed north of where I am in CT. The cell that prompted the tornado warning for northwest CT did produce a tornado just over the boarder in Upstate NY. A trained spotter saw it. This would be the second tornado to touch down in NY state this year. The other was back in April when a high end EF 1 happened.

  52. Vicki here in CT when we get storms that track like the one that had the tornado warning today in that southeast heading is when we get our biggest thunderstorms here. This happened in July 1989 when we had the tornado outbreak here.

  53. Yes southern Litchfield county is in a severe thunderstorm warning right now. On the current path the worst of the storm should stay northeast of my location. However these thunderstorms can shift and saw that earlier with the cell with the tornado warning and made that turn coming into the northwest part of CT.

      1. Tom Officially at Bradley where are records are kept it hit 91 degrees today and where I am it got in the 80s with dew points in the mid 60s. Down where I am there is still fuel for those thunderstorms to tap. The activity has been in the northern part of the state. It really felt like a July day here today.

        1. It fealt like July here as well until about 2:15pm, then all of a sudden, the wind suddenly turned NE and it was back to mid April. 🙂

We are supposed to get back into the warmth and humidity tomorrow.

  54. Here comes the thunder in Marshfield. Showers. Holding together pretty well considering its in the low 50s near the coast.

  55. I am reading on Facebook that Chris Curtis died last night? I believe it’s Tornado Chris but I am not sure.

  56. No it’s real Tom. But I might be confused on who’s tornado Chris here, not sure if its the same Chris.

    1. There’s a post above from tornado chris, and he ended it with Chris Curtis just after midnight this morning.

How can I search for this on facebook ?

    2. He’s from concord ma…west concord I believe. I don’t have FB. Please can you let us know here

    1. Omg. I feel as if everyone here is a friend. How Hadi. I can’t believe we just read his article

    2. That is sad ! I cant see your post yet, but I think thats my internet more than anything. I’ll keep looking for your post.

  57. How did he die? Was it weather related? His post was after the storms of yesterday. That is really sad.

  58. Was 88 here today, now 54! Rain has tapered. Lots of thunder and lightening earlier but only .05 of rain.

    1. Hadi I am not finding your post. I’ve been on the Internet since day 1 of of its existence and suddenly I’ve turned illiterate.

  59. When you are on FB you should be able to see my comments on other people’s pages. I believe it appears on upper right hand side of your wall.

    1. I need A FB tutorial. I just don’t use it enuf. I’m trying to remember what email I used to set it up…..proof I don’t use of often. Hadi thank you for keep us posted. Ill keep checking here for more information.

  60. Vicki I am surprised by that from the damage that occurred. This area was hit by an EF 5 back in May 1999.

    1. I have been thinking all along it would be upgraded to an ef5. They said top wind was 210

      1. I think it will weaken some because of more stable marine layer down here and also the previous activity took some of the instability away, but I wouldn’t be surprised if there are some rumbles overnight.

  61. Really sad day as Chris curtis. know on here as Tornado chris has past away early this morning. Last night we were actually talking about the tornado that hit and that he was down there helping out. He had a heart attack late last night it was not related to the tornado. and if I am remember correctly his birthday is only a few weeks away. 🙁
