Luxembourg prime minister Bettel (48) has been hospitalized with Covid-19. He’s been sick for a week and is now in hospital to monitor his oxygen levels, which have been deteriorating. Bettel had his 1st dose of vaccine in May and was scheduled for his 2nd dose this week, but because he’s sick he can’t get his 2nd dose now. Bettel is yet another example that 1 dose is insufficient. America has about 20 million 1-dosers. 20-25% of hospitalized patients in the UK are 1-dose folks.
Oh dear. Prayers for Prime Minister Bettel.
Indeed. The Luxembourg government is being mum about it – saying it’s for “observation and tests.” I think he’ll be okay as he’s not critically ill. But still, his case reminds me of my brother in law who also got quite sick even though he was partially vaccinated. He’s okay now, but was sick for more than 1 month and had serious breathing issues.
Sounds like he definitely waited too long between doses. I received mine exactly 3 weeks apart, which is the standard, correct?
1st dose = April 1st
2nd dose = April 22nd
