Wednesday July 6 2022 Forecast (7:29AM)

DAYS 1-5 (JULY 6-10)

A quiet weather pattern will be ours for days to come. High pressure brings fair and warm weather today but with lower humidity and a cooling coastal sea breeze developing. The high moves off to the south and east Thursday and the frontal boundary that went through our area last night will be heading back this way as a warm front, probably never to make it. But it will help increase the cloud cover in the region on Thursday. But that boundary never makes it and a stronger northwesterly flow brings another Canadian cold front into and across the region Friday, bringing the only chance of rainfall during this 5-day period, in the form of scattered showers. Canadian high pressure builds in to provide the region with dry and pleasant summer weather for the weekend…

TODAY: Mostly sunny. Highs 78-85. Dew point falling below 60. Wind NW 5-15 MPH with a few higher gusts through mid morning, then variable up to 10 MPH with coastal sea breezes.

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy. Lows 60-67. Dew point below 60. Wind variable up to 10 MPH.

THURSDAY: Partly sunny. Highs 78-85, coolest coast. Dew point under 60. Wind variable up to 10 MPH with coastal sea breezes.

THURSDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy. Lows 60-67. Dew point under 60. Wind variable up to 10 MPH.

FRIDAY: Variably cloudy. Isolated to scattered showers. Highs 76-83. Dew point over 60. Wind variable 5-15 MPH.

FRIDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers early, then clearing. Lows 57-64. Dew point falling to near 50. Wind NW 5-15 MPH.

SATURDAY: Sun and passing clouds. Highs 77-84. Dew point 50s. Wind NW 5-15 MPH.

SATURDAY NIGHT: Mostly clear. Lows 55-62. Dew point under 50. Wind N under 10 MPH.

SUNDAY: Mostly sunny. Highs 77-84, coolest coast. Dew point near 50. Wind N shifting to E up to 10 MPH.

DAYS 6-10 (JULY 11-15)

High pressure will be the main player in our weather at first, and as it shifts to the south of the region the trend will be for weather weather with an increase in temperature and humidity. A frontal boundary moves into the region mid into late period with a shower and thunderstorm threat.

DAYS 11-15 (JULY 16-20)

High pressure will be in control much of the time. Originating from Canada it brings mild/dry weather at first before sinking to the south and allowing increased warmth and humidity again.

        1. That’s oppressive for sure.

I noticed Concord, NH and Manchester, NH the last 2 hrs have seen a 5F dewpoint drop into the low 60s and their wind is increasing from the northwest.

    1. Vicki, I don’t know if you saw my reply last night (8:36, I think). Sorry it took me so long!

      And Happy Birthday, SSK!)

      1. I had not. And that is fascinating. My grandson and I checked last night. He loves music and especially the orchestra. I will tell him he was watching you. Do you mind my asking what instrument you play? With ADHD, it is often difficult to keep his attention. He didn’t move from that chair for all three hours.

        1. Viola.

That’s great that your grandson loves the music. There’s so much to see and so much variety of sound with an orchestra!

  1. My daughter is working in Glasgow, Scotland this summer. She likes it there, but says it’s “not summer.” It’s quite gray with periodic, fleeing sunshine at times, and “nippy,” often in the 40s at night, 50s and low 60s during the day, and she often needs a sweater.

    1. Wow! I almost expected to see the city of Oz sitting in the middle! Incredible! thanks

  2. I forecast for a radio station in College Station, TX. Here is the high/low forecast for the next 10 days (Normal high and low are 94/73):

    Thursday: 102/79
    Friday: 104/79
    Saturday: 104/79
    Sunday: 105/80
    Monday: 105/80
    Tuesday: 103/80
    Wednesday: 102/80
    Thursday: 102/79
    Friday: 101/79
    Saturday: 101/78

Dewpoints in the middle 70s during each night and morning, dropping into the upper 60s during the daytime.

That’s a big fat NOPE for me.

    1. Man, that’s feverish, literally. And with all the sweating I do it would be like I’m sick with a flu or something.

    2. Gross!!! they can have it!

I Was in Texas once in my life, Dallas and Ft. Worth in May,
The weather was nice, but we HATED it there! I wouldn’t step foot in that state if you paid me!

      1. I’ve been there twice. Went to Houston in February once, and the weather was fantastic. Went to Houston/Galveston in June once, and it was not as nice. However, that trip I got to see the Sox win in Houston, and got to visit NASA as well, so it wasn’t all bad.

  3. Tevin Wooten (ch 10) just used a hybrid of a phrase I use a lot: “Take this as guidance, not the gospel” when showing a model futurecast radar for Friday. 🙂

  4. We enjoyed our first long beach day today.

What a beautiful breeze, kept the greenheads away.

I think it blew the top warm layer of water out to sea though, the water was really cold.

Enjoyed watching the tide come in to change an expansive sandy beach to one with no sand to sit on at all.

  5. I liked Texas, well, my visits to Austin, Dallas, and San Antonio. Never visited in summer. That probably helped, as it wasn’t hot when I went. All visits were for work purposes. Did spend a little time sightseeing. Very nice people everywhere I went.

Politically I’m not on the same page with most people there. But that’s okay. My golden rule when traveling south of the Mason-Dixie line is so long as they’re not proselytizing (and I’m not either) we’re good.

I often wind up talking a lot about neutral topics like the weather (well, unless climate change comes up), sports, and food.

    1. I liked Texas as well. I have a friend currently living just outside Dallas. Absolutely gorgeous imo.

      1. Nothing special about Texas (except when storm chasing). 😉
Otherwise it’s big and boring and there have been a lot of false news stories about people from New England moving there. 😉 #fakenews

  6. Thanks guys for all the birthday wishes I really appreciate it . Number is getting higher lol
