  1. Thanks TK.

Amazing that polio has returned. I thought that disease ran out in the 1950’s.

Has Covid indirectly allowed all the “old”diseases to make comebacks? I am including monkeypox as well.

    1. It’s not so much Covid, it’s the anti-vax movement that has been energized by Covid, especially the pressure being put on people to get vaccinated. While I understand reluctance to vaccinate children with coronavirus vaccines – who are generally not at risk anyway – I’m not nearly as understanding about adult vaccinations. They’ve clearly reduced severe disease and deaths. The situation would have been Spanish Flu like or worse without vaccinations.

Childhood vaccinations need to be mandated and stringently enforced, with no (religious) exemptions. We cannot slide back to a situation in which polio is normal again, or measles, diphtheria, pertussis, rubella, hepatitis B, etc … Come on. Here’s where politicians from all sides of the political spectrum need to come together and declare the absolute need for these childhood vaccinations.

      1. Can we say definitely that the mRNA won’t cause health problems in 15-20 years? It is a little worrisome when I put something in my system every 6-8 months that has various and often significant side effects.

  2. Has anyone asked his or her pcp about getting a polio vaccine/booster?

Initial reports said the first case was from a person who has been given the live virus vaccine in another country. Then the thought was it was passed to a non-vaccinated adult in NY.

A curious question is would the second person be non-vaccinated or had his/her vaccine lost it’s protection.

My guess is doctors know the second person is unvaccinated.
