  1. Brief update: Status quo regarding my son. So, not good as there’s no improvement.

When it rains it pours, and so I’ve been hit by some kind of very local internet outage (just my unit!), a “miswiring,” according to the Verizon folks. My internet at home has been down for the past 30 hours. Verizon said it will “restore service by Monday at 5pm.” And to think we pay for this kind of “service.” So, I periodically head over to the local Starbucks to get some internet.

Did manage to write this piece on mental health awareness: https://www.forbes.com/sites/joshuacohen/2022/10/15/mental-health-awareness-isnt-enough-more-funding-is-needed/?sh=36afb1d426a1

    1. Joshua I really don’t understand what is happening to our health institutions. I’m so very sorry. And sadly you would be such a strong advocate

I will read your article this evening. Thank you

Make sure to tell verizon not to charge you for the days you did not have service. They cannot and sometimes it gets results

  2. The Verizon folks I’ve spoken to in India are very kind and understanding. But because the problem is not related to my router or computer/devices they’re having to diagnose the problem somewhere in the Verizon network (“outside my premises,” and I’m quoting). Rahul – one of the persons I spoke to – called it a “miswiring,” whatever that means. In any case, I’m very skeptical they’ll have it up and running by Monday at 5pm as they’ve promised. But, one never knows.

In the meantime, I’m doing a lot of sitting on concrete steps outside Starbucks tapping into their wi-fi at all hours of the day and night.

    1. They can’t charge you for those days. But it doesn’t make it easier. Was the wiring recent? Did you have previous problems?

Now is the time to upgrade your phone 😉
