  1. Thanks tk. I see your posting a lot of cloudy days. Was thinking of going to humarock Tuesday for a beach day thoughts?

    1. My thoughts only. GO and enjoy. It will be warm enough and you’re close enough to just go home if bad weather threatens. πŸ˜€

      1. I agree oldsalty and think that’s the plan thank you. It’s been along time since we have gone to the beach here because we have a big inground pool and believe it it not I’m going in it now for the first time. I don’t go in it much because I’m always busy trying to keep the damn thing clean with all the trees around it.

    2. I don’t think we have any totally cloudy days coming up. If one did take place, it would be Wednesday.

    3. Oh and to add to that, Tuesday will probably be a fine day overall. Just watch the radar.

    4. Thoughts? Humarock? I guess you know mine ;). Have a Wonderful day and enjoy your vacation.

    1. JJ, it still looks like Wednesday is the threat Day, although something could occur
on Tuesday as well. Frankly I am NOT impressed at this time. Perhaps it will
change. We shall see. Perhaps I am Jaded too.

      1. For the first time this year the GFS isn’t going bonkers a couple days ahead of a thunderstorm threat.
There is enough CAPE and Lift for thunderstorm development but nothing that is impressive as of yet.

        1. hard to get impressed with those numbers. That’s probably exactly when we get hammered. πŸ˜€

    1. Thank you. Pretty amazing. The problem with these fire works, is not that they are illegal, but rather that many of them are ignited by intoxicated persons. Therein lies the real problem. I truly believe that responsible sober adults can
safely ignite these fireworks. When alcohol and/or drugs are mixed in, all hell can break loose. I’d wager that was the case in Chatham.

      1. Good point. And as Philip pointed out, the law is not enforced. We had them in various locations around here from 8:00 pm to 4:00 am last night which I find incredibly annoying. I like the idea of making $$ from licensing but suspect that wouldn’t be enforced either.

Something like this makes me agree even more with the bans at area beaches for bonfires and resulting private fireworks.

    2. If fireworks are illegal in MA, then why don’t police enforce it? Boston certainly doesn’t. Explosions go on in my neighborhood (Dorchester) all weekend long at any time of day/night and don’t ever stop completly until after Labor Day. πŸ™

      1. They are illegal, however, the law is widely ignored and seldom
enforced. And it IS legal in neighboring states, so they are
very easy to come by. It should be made legal and then they
should come down really hard on intoxicated users.

        1. The state could make a little extra money by
requiring a license of some sort to light them off.

          1. Then the state would have to spend twice as much screening people and performing background checks to keep fireworks out of the hands of looney tunes and felons.

            1. Also good comment. And they wouldn’t do it anyway. Oh well. Another good idea down the drain.

Did you have I nice birthday ace. I don’t think I saw you here.

              1. I did have a good bday, thanks Vicki! πŸ™‚ Went to the fireworks in Sharon for the first time since living here and they were awesome. I’m so glad Mac is back πŸ˜€

                1. Happy belated ace . Heading to haddads now for mine it’s a seafood place in marshfield .

                2. John is it your bday? Darn how did I miss that. I’m sorry :(. Happy birthday. We enjoy haddads food and they have a special sr menu which is just smart

  2. Oh my gosh. It is your birthday, John. Hmm I guess you knew that though. I’m sorry. Have a very special birthday dinner. A very happy nearly belated birthday to you.

    1. Thanks may not happen. Son is being difficult because he wants to go eat someplace and play games at Dave and busters.

      1. Hahahaha. Ain’t the teen years grand. Enjoy them. As hard as it seems, they go by too quickly and then we are looking back wondering where the years went

          1. John there is no only ten…..ten is usually going on at least thirteen :). Chinese sounds very nice

  3. Happy birthday John! Are u on facebook? Sadly thats the only way i know its peoples bdays, im horrible with remembering them

  5. To add to the fireworks. Last night Fireworks from about 5pm to pretty much until 4 in the morning… Billerica is about 42 acreas of land 3 largest town in the state. Guess how many police are in patrol from 8pm to 8am…………………………………….

about 5-7 depending and thats including the 2 to 3 people that stay at the police station.
Where my grandparents live. 2 policemen for an even larger area. in tempelton mass by gardner

  6. Answer to Today’s AccuWeather Trivia Quiz.

When did the U.S. start using female names for tropical storms?
    A. 1941
    B. 1953
    C. 1965
    D. 1976

The answer is B, 1953. I think male names started in 1976.

  7. Imagine if mosquitos came out in the winter rather than the summer? And instead of biting people they sucked on snow? Hahaha, problem solved! (The itching problem, not the snow problem). πŸ˜‰

    1. Since we are imagining, let’s have them suck the snow away. Then both problems are solved πŸ˜‰

    2. how but they eat the snow off the roadways but leave the snow thats in the yards alone, because if they eat all the snow, ski areas would not have a good time πŸ˜‰
