  1. Thank you TK

I think heat in the house depends on your tolerance for cold which it should. I find cold invigorating. I have two grands so far who are fighting wearing anything but shorts and tees. I love a cold room to sleep in. If it gets really cold, there may be heat in the front where the little guy sleeps. I guarantee heat is a long way off in the back. We keep it closer to 64 day and 60 or lower night. The kids say it could snow in our room πŸ™‚

    1. Vicki….I have the same fight with Sam about wearing pants vs shorts. I am not sure when he will finally give in and put on a pair of pants. πŸ™‚

      1. He may not. I watch the battle every morning and just smile. His father wears shorts and sneakers when he shovels…no gloves. I think they need to give up the fight. Granddaughter loves to be cool and is fascinated by weather events of any kind.

  2. Thanks tk πŸ™‚
In Warwick ri this morning, got caught in a downpour, it lasted about 5-10 minutes, I’d say .05-.10 fell.

  3. Were those severe t-storms on the Cape expected this morning? Very impressive. The Vineyard reported a 38kt gust on their last observation, well removed from the strongest velocities on radar. Could be some spotty damage on the outer Cape where the worst of the storms are. Hail has been reported also.

Just a few light showers here in Plymouth, NH, looking forward to the cold air πŸ™‚

  4. I wonder if we have another 80 degree day over the next few weeks, this wed and thu look to be around 70. πŸ™‚ getting my 3week haircut. Good day!! πŸ™‚

    1. Very nice and thank you for sharing. No hype there, just the facts.

I love the way he puts together the blog. He puts his whole heart and soul into it.
We are blessed to have him. Sorry, but that is the way I feel, despite how
      others may or not feel.

        1. As are you our friend.

You would do an equally fine job IF you were at Channel 4. You do what you do on this blog in your spare time without pay!!

We truly really really appreciate your efforts!!

          Now about that pizza…..

            1. Yes, I agree Harvey is superb as well.
And others have had their moments.
Some like Pete and JR and I also like
              Matt Noyes of NECN.

But the discussion here was Eric and then I added TK because this is his blog. πŸ˜€

    1. Indeed. Didn’t mean to slight him at all.

But hey, he’s the weekend dude now. I guess we were focusing on
      the daily Mets. πŸ˜€

Always liked Barry going back to the day he started at channel 4.

When he was on weekends, he used to have a segment on Sunday night
where he would highlight the upcoming week’s weather. Sort of a detailed
7 day forecast. He was before his time.

      1. “Coming Attractions” .. which was the inspiration for The Week Ahead on my previous format. πŸ™‚

  5. Each successive run of the EURO has a deeper system in the northern Gulf in the long range, this time sub 990 mb …..

    1. It also had a pretty strong low just ESE of us offshore for tomorrow until a couple runs ago. It almost has a case of CMCitis.

  6. Cool today and cooler tomorrow.

Frost warnings all over the state starting at 1 AM.

The average date in Boston for hitting 32 degrees for the 1st time in the fall/winter is Nov 4th.

  7. Drove north yesterday through a few bands of light showers. Saw a rainbow. What’s more the fall colors are truly spectacular. I’d say the prettiest part of the drive was near the MA/NH border where different shades of reds, oranges, and yellows literally distracted me. It’s like the trees were saying, “look at me.” It’s past peak in east-central Vermont, but still nice. Chilly here, however. Hard freeze coming in these parts – I think some towns and hamlets could see as low as 23F, which is in record territory. My guess is Boston gets close to 32F but no cigar; 36F tonight, 33F tomorrow night. Almost all places away from the coast – as close as 3 miles from the coast – will get frost by Monday morning, north of, say Charlie’s house.

  9. Beautiful fall morning. 45. Joshua the leaves here are dull compared to southwest of here. We also have much more green. I was amazed at the difference as we drove from framingham to Uxbridge.

Anyone awakened T 2ish this am from the Amber alert? I think at least six devices in this house screeched at us.

      1. Yes it is. I should have said that. I’m hearing conflicting reports. One a BPD found them and another that they were in childrens hosp all along.
