After The Lows Comes The Big High

12:56PM

2 low pressure areas will move northeastward with southeastern New England right between them (one to the NW, one to the SE) today. In between these is a warm and humid air mass that will be over the region on this last full day of Summer. A few showers will occur in this zone, and perhaps a couple more later tonight as the cold front from the low to the NW swings through. This cold front will clean house and introduce a big high pressure area which will then control the weather for all of next week, which will be dry with temperatures above normal overall, warmest the second half.

FORECAST FOR SOUTHEASTERN NEW ENGLAND…

THIS AFTERNOON: Clouds & sun. Breezy & muggy. Isolated to scattered showers around. Highs from near 70 South Coast to near 80 most inland areas. Wind SE to S 10-20 MPH.

TONIGHT: Variably cloudy. Breezy & muggy. Isolated showers possible. Lows in the 60s. Wind S to SW 10-20 MPH shifting to W late.

MONDAY: Mostly sunny. Less humid. Highs in the 70s. Wind W 10-20 MPH.

TUESDAY & WEDNESDAY: Fair weather. Lows in the 40s. Highs in the 60s.

THURSDAY THROUGH SATURDAY: Fair weather. Lows in the 50s. Highs in the 70s.

  1. Thank you TK. 79.3 with 68 DP. Slider on porch was misted, tiles are wet, even glass table is fogged. Smells and feels a bit like early spring days. Then last night there was a hint of the leaves of fall smell. We had a bit of rain early and then sun and cloud spotted blue sky. Then some sun showers and sun is out again.

    1. They didn’t have much trouble last game. 🙂
The problem today is they haven’t HAD the ball long enough to do anything.
      It’s early yet. 🙂

      1. Wellllllll they may want to practice getting the ball past that goal line but you are absolutely correct that it is early yet and they will figure it out

  2. Don’t let the northward movement of the cloudiness on the satellite fool you. High clouds are fanning out.

Also, don’t let the northward movement of the rainfall to our south fool you. It’s not going to reach the Boston area. Cape Cod for a while, probably. The southeastern low is about to turn more to the NE.

  3. Welcome to New England Puketriots football!!!!

What a PATHETIC PERFORMANCE!! BRUTAL against a BAD team!!!!!!

Super Bowl team? NOT NOT NOT!!!

We have Edelman and an occasional Gronk and that’s it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m DISGUSTED!!!!! If it weren’t for a fortuitous bounce, we would have lost that
game as Oakland would have scored and made the 2 point conversion with Mcfadden.

    1. I disagree Mr. Negative, It was a good game because it was entertaining and we won. Third game of the season and no one is running on all cylinders. Be real and cut them some slack. You should have enjoyed the game for what it’s worth. Entertainment.

      1. Fine, but that doesn’t change my mind.
IF it were this struggle against a fine quality team, no problem. 😀
Against the Oakland Raiders? Give me a break.

                1. Who knows. But at the end of the day, it’s a football game. It doesn’t really matter, unless you are Charlie. 😉

            1. I agree wit coastals comment. I enjoy watching…win or lose…because they are my team. But I’ll fight to the end to support your right to feel exactly as you do and comment in any way you want. Negative, positive or somewhere in the middle just doesn’t matter 🙂

              1. I’m a real homer and I don’t enjoy it when my team loses OR plays
poorly. 😀 After the Pat’s 1st 3 and out I fell off of my couch! I told my wife it was going to be a long afternoon.

    1. Soooooo if you do not post it does that mean it stays Sunday a day or two longer….cause I’d kinda like that….not you not posting but you know that
