Thanksgiving Forecast

7:25AM

DAYS 1-5 (NOVEMBER 26-30)…
Happy Thanksgiving! This holiday will be on the mild side of average but may lack sun in many areas as low level moisture has increased in a southeast to south air flow behind offshore high pressure. But a fine day for football games and local travel! Even better weather coming up for Friday which will favor those decorating and shopping. A cold front will bring a rain shower risk in the early hours of Saturday which should end fairly quickly, though cloudiness may linger even after the front passes. High pressure will dominate with fair and cool weather Sunday-Monday (no longer looks like a disturbance will make it to the area Monday).
TODAY – THANKSGIVING: Partly sunny to mostly cloudy. Highs 48-55. Wind SE 5-15 MPH.
TONIGHT: Mostly to partly cloudy. Lows 38-45. Wind S 5-15 MPH.
FRIDAY: Partly to mostly sunny. Highs 58-65. Wind SW 10-20 MPH.
FRIDAY NIGHT: Partly to mostly cloudy. Chance of rain showers. Lows in the 40s. Wind W 10-20 MPH.
SATURDAY: Mostly cloudy. Temperatures steady in the 40s.
SUNDAY: Mostly sunny. Lows in the 20s. Highs in the 40s.
MONDAY: Mostly sunny. Lows in the 20s. Highs in the 40s.

DAYS 6-10 (DECEMBER 1-5)…
Expect a rain threat December 1 and early December 2 from a low passing north of the region. Uncertain whether or not a second system may impact the region with wet weather December 4. Temperatures near to mostly above normal.

DAYS 11-15 (DECEMBER 6-10)…
A more active southern jet stream may send another system or two in the direction of New England with a couple more chances of storminess. Temperatures, though variable, will average mostly above normal.

  1. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
What a difference from a year ago when I woke up to a White Thanksgiving after getting accumulating snow the day before. Tomorrow going to be a great day to go golfing. I maybe golfing in December this year the way this mild pattern looks to continue.

    1. I was driving around that day and there was a pretty sharp line between rain/snow for quite a while NW of Boston. Eventually the snow got into areas that rain fell and got things crusty white but to the NW it was all about several inches of snow. I experienced some of that in Lowell MA for part of the day.

  2. Charlie I remember your post about a month ago of teams you thought were done and the Cowboys made your list. If they win today the Eagles lose in Detroit and Redskins beat the Giants both Giants and Redskins are 5-6 and were right back in it only a game back at 4-7 with two games still left against the Redskins.
Its a faint pulse in my opinion to win the NFC East but if those things happen that I mentioned the pulse would be a little stronger.

    1. Bahahaha jj Dallas is 3-7, they will not be going anywhere, “Mark my words”
21 yrs 3 playoff wins. 🙂 on a side note happy thanksgiving!!

  3. Thanks TK, Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Looking forward to family, food, and football 🙂 🙂

  4. Wow–warmer than I thought. Doesn’t feel like Thanksgivng–but makes it easier to get the kids outside until turkey time.

  5. We seem to be getting a Thanksgiving treat with more sunshine than expected and I think the temps are therefore also going to end up milder than thought. Love it !!!!! Maybe turkey on the deck

  6. I think the best game is Packers Bears. It really doesn’t matter who wins the Eagles lions, and the dallas panther game, in the end and the smoke clears, the only 2 teams that will make any noise after mid Jan will be the Panthers and Packers 🙂

  7. Fired Millis Police Officer involved with the fake shootout found dead in his
home early this morning. Police not investigating as a homicide, so I guess he
took his own life. So sad.

      1. I like competitive tough football, the 1st 2 games were blowouts, the 3 rd game was much better, and a “suprise” I might add. 🙂

  8. Yes Charlie they have been and looks like Romo maybe done for the season after going out with a shoulder injury.

    1. Just drove home from Hopkinton. I can confirm what Ace is saying.

Also noted unbelievable moisture condensed on the streets.

I presume from 2 cold nights and now warmer with more moisture.
