  1. This is not good. See tweet below. I was hoping we would not be seeing this occur throughout Europe and the UK. It’s very clear reinfections are occurring from those who got BA.1. As I may have mentioned already, a colleague of mine in Rhode Island is sick with BA.2. She was sick with BA.1 8 weeks ago. I’m hearing this more and more. Immunity from BA.1 is short-lived, I believe. https://twitter.com/EricTopol/status/1502675479077130240

  2. And here’s one of the biggest problems, which is self-inflicted.

The UK has done an exceptional job in getting 92% people of advanced age (>65) boosted. The U.S. stands at 65%.

Similar numbers of immunocompromised and other major risk factors. Unbelievable, quite frankly.

And, unlike the UK, which has laid out its plan for a 4th dose, the U.S. has no plan.

    1. I got my 4th dose late last month via my health care provider but come to think of it, I have seen no mention about that specific dose on tv.

Does the CDC have an opinion? Last I heard from them is that we can now lift mask mandates, not that I’m complaining about that.

      1. Don’t believe there is an official CDC policy on 4th doses, other than for immunocompromised folks. The British policy is for 4th doses to be given to anyone over 60, and also high-risk groups.

        1. Our CDC is totally useless. I bet before TK declares our snow season “over” the CDC will officially declare an “endemic” soon.

An endemic is the same as declaring a pandemic “over”, am I correct Joshua?

  3. I am sick of the entire thing. Folks all know school numbers. But far too many seem to take the stance that these numbers are acceptable. So ignore the number. But health expert after health expert says it is too early to move from three feet to six feet and it is too early to remove masks. I have shared far too many of their tweets here to count. And they are ignored.

When did we become a society that accepts political decisions going against views of scientists?
