Monday Forecast

6:37AM

DAYS 1-5 (MAY 6-10)
High pressure provides nice weather today and again Wednesday. The only slight interruption to the fair weather will be a cold front that drops through the region from northwest to southeast late Tuesday, which will be the warmest day of the next 5, but may also see a few late day and evening rain showers and a remote risk of thunder. But this also marks a longer period of time than we have seen in a while without being impacted by a low pressure system coming along the jet stream. However, the next system will arrive from the west later in the week. So we are not completely out of the active pattern yet but there will be a bit of a slowing down of the activity during this week.
Forecast details…

DAYS 6-10 (MAY 11-15)
High pressure moves in for dry weather for the May 11-12 weekend. Low pressure brings a chance of wet weather for May 13 before fair and milder weather returns for the end of the period as high pressure retakes control of the weather.

DAYS 11-15 (MAY 16-20)
This is a low confidence forecast, but a broad low pressure area may result in several unsettled days during this period.

  1. Thanks TK !

Now I’ve really had it with the weather πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

So, yesterday was the day before my wife’s birthday. We did brunch and had their been non-damp weather, we probably would have headed to Myles Standish for a long walk.

But because of the weather ….. my wife suggested we go (LOOK) at F150’s as “eventually” we do need a new one.

Eventually turned into a down payment and new purchase. I knew I was in trouble when the dealer moved 4 other trucks to get the truck out for a test drive that my wife liked.

Yesterday was an expensive cloudy, damp day. And of course, now with the money spent and being an inside day, now the sun is going to come out !!

    LOL πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

    1. I’m sorry, Tom, but I am doubled over here. I know that you are aware, as Mac was, if your wife says let’s just look that it never ends well. Seems to work for horses, dogs and cats just about as well as it does for new vehicles.

Enjoy and I wish your wife a happy birthday and happy (and safe) trails!!!

    2. Tom where was brunch if I may ask . Was looking for a place for this Sunday but I found one . Thank you

          1. It was great !!

Food, both breakfest and lunch selections were awesome and love the festive spirit in there with the Irish music playing. Hope youve made a reservation with mother’s day next weekend !!

            1. I did wanted 11 we got 12 . I was looking for a brunch with plenty of options to choose from all you can eat . Thanks Tom

    3. You go to Hanover if so I wish I knew . I am very well taken care of there & recently just purchased an f150 v8 larriet

  2. Hmmm

There is a very strange brightness to the sky… I wonder what is causing that.
I have no idea at all.

    1. Not in Sutton yet but I’m heading to Hopkinton soon so maybe it will make an appearance there!

      1. Now there is a strange bright orb peeking through the clouds.
I think the world is about to end!!!!!

  3. Hearing some bitter, angry complaints from customers this morning all in the vein of β€œthought they said it was supposed to be sunny today…….?”

  4. Hopefully you will get into some sunshine. It is nice to see the sun out where I am.

      1. This is no different from being told you will have 3-6 inches of snow and crying foul when you get 3. Sun was due after the clouds burned off. So, I’m going with stupid.

When the sun arrives, they will find yet something else to complain about. I also enjoy that the “children” could care less and have been out and about even in the rain.

  5. Thanks TK!
Suns been in and out for the last hour here. Great to see even if it’s for a few fleeting moments. πŸ™‚

    1. Hopefully we should see sun for much of the day tomorrow as well before the showers arrive.

    1. Mine too. Most of my tulips did not come up this year, I believe, because of a lack of sun. πŸ™

      1. Timing based on stage of development. That can be true in one spot and not true just miles away. The tulips around my area are coming up very nicely.

    2. What do you have planted,Matt? I know my oldest’s seedlings are all growing nicely but of course they are indoors. I don’t know if she is hardening them yet but believe she is. I’ll have to ask.

  6. The day 7-8 pattern is a snow lover’s dream. The 12z Euro went all in on a phased Nor’easter with a high elevation pasting of snow in central and northern New England. Other guidance is generally not as clean with the phase and more suppressed.

Obviously you’re talking about as late in the season as it’s physically possible to see frozen precip in most of New England, outside of the very highest terrain where it can continue a little longer. But I’ll be watching that period closely. Should be interesting.

    1. Let’s go for it! πŸ˜€

Everyone’s already down because of water vapor in the sky. Might as well finish off the population with a record late mix/snow event. πŸ˜‰ Everybody will move. Less traffic for the rest of us. πŸ˜‰

And yes I’m kidding before anybody takes me seriously. It will do whatever it does and we’ll be here to forecast it!

      1. You may be kidding but I can’t stop laughing. The rest of us may be just you and me πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰

      1. Fabulous, but packed. Somebody who has worked there for 3 years told me they have never seen this many people there or lines that long, even on weekends.

  7. Good track a week out from the 12z EURO in the winter months for snow. Unfortunately now with a track like that a cold rainorama

    1. Lovely. I have never heard of the wicked tulip farm before. It isn’t far from me. I never see a yellow tulip but I think of Mac.

We have tulips up and starting to bud. I was concerned because the leaves were wavy but maybe they are supposed to be. I am a horrific gardener. These were planted before we bought the house. They are all a very deep burgundy flower. That would look really nice against a light background/house. And although we enjoy them, they are hard to see as they are in the bed furthest away from the house and against the hill in the back. They will be lovely when I cut them though!

  8. It is do-or-die for the Celtics tonight.

    …and yes, I know that they are β€œonly” down 2-1. πŸ˜‰

    1. Then it’s not do or die. πŸ™‚ It can’t be die until a team is eliminated.

        1. Yes. Now the next game is do-or-die. I will never make the assumption that a team that is facing elimination is finished. We’ve seen too many times teams come back from down 3-1, even 3-0, to win series. And it doesn’t matter if it’s “this team” or “that team”. ANY team can come back. Any season.
