An unsettled period will begin Meteorological winter today and Wednesday as a disturbance approaches, its parent low tracking north of southern New England, but a new low forming on its warm front just to the south late today and moving out to sea while most of the wet weather comes from its slow-moving cold front which will spawn another low pressure wave on Wednesday that will send additional wet weather into the region. Drier weather returns Thursday though a few instability rain showers are possible as a trough passes. High pressure will bring fair weather Friday and Saturday.
