  1. Thanks tk 🙂

CRAPPY damp weather, BUT I’m not complaining bc it could be worse. Temp is 41 degrees. Looks snowless for as far as the models go out. Enjoy the day!! 🙂

  2. Thank you, TK.

The first two days of this month remind me of early December 1997 and 1998. Actually, it got really warm and sunny the first week of December in 1997 as I recall. I remember raking leaves in a t-shirt on a sunny December day. December 1998 was often damp and dreary, like last December. In sum, this is not that atypical for the first week of December.

    1. Indeed. I think it only got as high as the 60s here that month, but it rarely went below freezing at night as I recall.

    1. This is like where’s Waldo 🙂 I see one on the roof but he looks to be wearing a hat?? Where is #2?

        1. Vicki, TK: Because it’s a webcam it gets updated with a new still every 15 minutes. So, the two people I saw (looked like a mother and daughter) are no longer on the updated still. I’ll track them down and let you know when to check the webcam.

By the way, speaking of webcams, Quebec City is shrouded in fog. And, there isn’t much ice formation on the St. Lawrence. That is a bit unusual in early December, but not extraordinary.

  3. Terrible story coming out of California with multiple fatalities. Thoughts and prayers with those families.

  4. This Sunday’s Patriots game could be in the low to mid 50’s, perfect football weather!!! 🙂

      1. I found it. I am ready for my ANTI_GUN soapbox rant!!!!!!!!!!

Let’s see what the weapons were and how they were obtained first.

This is totally and completely out of hand, out of control and true
        lunacy and insanity!(@&#(!&*(#&*(!@(#*&!*(@#&*(!&@#*(&!*(@#&*(!&*(@#&(*!&*@&#*(!&@*(#&!*(&@#*(&!*(@#&*(!&@(

  5. Officials believe AK-47s were used in the attack in California. Up to 3 gunmen, who got away in a black SUV. Heavily armed units of police are being deployed to local universities and hospitals in and around San Bernadino. This suggests that police are concerned about a multi-stage attack, in which case we would not be talking about a lone, crazed gunman, but terrorism of some kind. It’s frightening as is, but terrorism would make it worse.

    1. AK-47s

Now, please tell me WHY any civilian in this Country needs an AK-47
assault rifle? To kill a crap load of deer? I think not! They are designed
to kill people In times of War.

Neanderthals like those at the NRA and their political cronies think it is
just fine and dandy for people to purchase these guns!!!

GEEZ how do you fix STUPID??????????????????????????!@()U*()!#&*(&#(*&^!(&*@^#&*!^@&*#^!@#^!&*^@#*@&ET!T^@#%!&*%@#^*!%@#^%!&%@#^%&!@%#&!%@#%&^!@%#^%!&@#%!&@^#%&^!%@^%&#!^&@#^

      WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      1. Agree. Way too many assault weapons around. Way too much violence and murders in our cities. This said, even in France where gun control laws are strict, ISIS members got hold of heavy weaponry. So, while gun control laws help they are not foolproof.

Back to weather, my goodness it’s dreary outside. Has the sun even made a cameo appearance in the past 2 days? I’m feeling foggy at this point.

      2. I would love to hear an answer to your question …..I’d love someone to tell me how many more times we will let this happen and continue to do NOTHING

        1. Do what? Take away a natural right because some terrorists or crazies abuse it? It’s unfortunate for sure but this stuff has always happend and always will. You can’t ban or pass a law to end crazy. No utopia exists for this stuff.

      3. You know the guns in chicago and CA are coming from states where there are no good laws right?

Last I am saying on this because it revolts me

        1. Never mind that being the last thing,,,WeatherWiz…..loving tolerant liberals….ENOUGH and I’m asking that your post be removed. Pointing fingers is incredibly sad

  6. I personally think they should not ban guns, strict laws to try our very best to keep them out of the bad guys hands. We shouldn’t punish law abiding American citizens. It is unfortunate for sure, and my prayers go out to them. The good guys have every right to own a gun. Just my opinion, this today will not change anything, there are 100’s of millions of gun owners in America, and a civil war would start if they tried to take that right away. Again just my opinion. 🙂

    1. A difference of opinion is absolutely fine. Pointing fingers and denigrating those who not share it is not. Simple really.

  7. It’s extremely foggy, make sure your cautious out there when driving, it’s very thick in certain areas.

  8. Everybody’s point of view on politics is different, also I try not to say anything bad on anyone’s view, bc it is opinion. Plus politics are stupid in the end. We all have 1 vote, and we should be lucky we live in America. Plus this is a weather blog, and I try to keep it just that. Enjoy the night folks. 🙂

    1. Nicely said, Charlie. There was a good part of your view I agree with.

And thank you for fog warning. I just passed that on.

  9. Those who think guns are OK are out in left field. Sorry.

    This is pure insanity.

FWIW, after watching CNN and CBS for awhile, it looks to me like this was the work
of some Crazed Domestic Militia type group OR sad to say, ISIS.

I am sicken by this event. It’s one too many and it’s time to STOP!

    1. I think guns are ok. They are a right in this country but I think some need restrictions or total ban. Mostly I think politicians on both sides of the aisle need to stop letting special interest groups like the nra control this country. But I don’t think anyone is out in left field on the right or the left. We also need to do something about our lack of treatment for those struggling with mental health issues.

See how well I didn’t say any more on this topic. I have not one ounce of willpower.

  10. Were having way too many of these shootings happen across this country. Charleston, SC, Lafeyette, LA Umpqua, OR, Colorado Springs, and today. This is only the past few months.

  11. I think the problem is that we’ve become too polarized to enact common sense legislation on guns. And, I do not mean taking gun rights away from citizens. I mean banning assault rifle and heavy weaponry ownership. No citizen has the “natural” (someone used that bizarre term – since when are rights to material possessions “natural”?) right to own assault rifles or hand grenades. If one employs the argument that such heavy weapons are needed to defend ourselves against government tyranny, then unfortunately we’ve entered a militant space. It’s a space currently occupied by White Supremacists, certain members of the Black Panther Party, radical Christians (and Jews), and, yes, ISIS and Al Qaeda, too. Muslim militants justify terrorism as actions against the State and its interests. Their view of our government is that it represents tyranny against them. I find all such militant arguments repulsive and nonsensical. Their world entails a Hobbesian war of all against all. I believe we’ve moved beyond that 17th century way of thinking. We’ve evolved. We should be better than that.
