Sunday November 8 2026 Forecast (7:28AM)

DAYS 1-5 (NOVEMBER 8-12)

The transition from the warm spell to the cool shot has taken place now. One more slug of showers, some fairly heavy, visited the region overnight into the pre-dawn hours today as the upper low crossed the region. The vast bulk of this rainfall exited east of the region prior to sunrise with partial clearing. One final cluster of showers on the back side of the upper low is moving through south central MA toward northeastern CT in the southwestern reaches of the WHW forecast area, but will likely dry up fairly soon. This leaves us with a sun / cloud mix, at times clouds winning out, as the back side of the upper low is still over our region and moving gradually to the east, and a surface low intensifies while heading from the Gulf of Maine into Atlantic Canada. The northwest flow we are now into will continue through Tuesday, with two reinforcing cold fronts to pass by, the first during the day Monday and the second later Tuesday. Either or both of these can produce quick-passing showers, but we’ll be largely dry over the next few days, along with a cooler northwesterly breeze. By Wednesday, an area of high pressure scoots just to our south and lightens are wind, turning it more westerly, and bringing fair and pleasant weather for Veterans Day. But things are happening quickly, and while we have our fair weather Wednesday, low pressure will be taking shape to our west in the Ohio Valley region in response to an eastward-moving upper trough of low pressure. While the precise evolution of the system is still to-be-determined, the approach of it will send our weather downhill with increasing cloudiness and eventual rain chances Thursday (leaning toward night for that).

TODAY: Intervals of sun & clouds. Highs 54-61. Wind W to NW 10-20 MPH, gusts as high as 30 MPH.

TONIGHT: Decreasing clouds. Lows 38-45. Wind NW 10-20 MPH, higher gusts.

MONDAY: Sun / cloud mix. Chance of a quick-passing rain shower. Highs 52-59. Wind NW 10-20 MPH, higher gusts.

MONDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy, then clearing. Lows 35-42. Wind NW 5-15 MPH.

TUESDAY: Sunny, then a sun / cloud mix with a late-day brief rain shower possible. Highs 52-59. Wind NW 5-15 MPH, higher gusts.

TUESDAY NIGHT: Clearing. Lows 37-44. Wind NW 5-15 MPH.

WEDNESDAY (VETERANS DAY): Mostly sunny. Highs 55-62. Wind W 5-15 MPH.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Clear. Lows 35-42. Wind W under 10 MPH.

THURSDAY: Increasing clouds. Chance of rain at night. Highs 52-59. Wind variable to SE up to 10 MPH.

DAYS 6-10 (NOVEMBER 13-17)

Storm system impacts the region with rain tapering to showers (watch for mixed rain/snow highest elevation areas depending on storm evolution) on November 13, then pulls away to our east and northeast for a breezy but dry, cool weekend November 14-15 – probably more clouds & wind Saturday and less of both by Sunday. Fair and more tranquil weather toward the end of the period as high pressure builds in.

DAYS 11-15 (NOVEMBER 18-22)

Drier pattern indications continue. Temperatures variable but averaging near to above normal.
