  1. We just returned from the swan boats. TK very nice day you arranged for us. Thank you πŸ˜€

What a spectacular city we have. We sat for a long time on a bench in the gardens while my daughter gave the baby a bottle just watching the people and enjoying the buildings and trees and flowers. There were tons of people along the banks of the charles to enjoy the beautiful spring day. I’d say there may be cities as lovely as Boston but certainly none lovelier.

    1. I biked around the charles I go from my house and connect to the minuteman bike way and then take 2 other bike paths to the charles. ON saturday they do not allow cars on some of the roads. I did it two times last year.

      1. That sounds like great fun The Charles near your house? My husband was saying they should close sorrow drive one day a month for people to just walk. When I was a teen we’d walk from Belmont (where I grew up) into either Harvard square or the Charles to just sit all of the time. This kind of weather just brings everyone out with smiles

  2. What a perfect day!! Mowed the lawn with the help of a 2.5 year old :). No sign of the baby coming yet as mom was planting flower boxes etc.. She is amazing to be due today and helping outside. Tomorrow we head over the lilac festival even though it’s crowded we love it!!

    1. Ahhhh maybe she’s nesting. Your wife plating brought back a wonderful memory for me. I was in labor with my first and the doctor said to keep moving so I weeded the garden and just sat on the lawn when the contractions got bad

I wanted to ask how your wife was but it can get annoying when people ask too often once the due dat arrives. Thanks for letting us know πŸ™‚

      1. Is your two and a half year old excited. I seem to think he’s a boy?? It’s not quite as easy when you have to think about who’ll be there to take care of the older sibling when you go into labor

      1. Loo for me Ace!! If you see a veryyyyyy pregnant looking woman with me you will know its me πŸ™‚ what time are you going?

  3. I can tell when spring has officially arrives. Our resident tree frogs start trilling at night. For a while it’s fun to listen but they “talk to each other” for hours and they are loud πŸ™‚

    It’s a beautiful night

  4. Hello, what a great day! I think Tue an Wed are the best chances for showers, esp Wed. Also an early call on rainfall amounts between both days will be .35-.75 with some places coming close to an inch. There will be Isolated higher and lower amounts, happy Mothers day to all the Mothers. πŸ™‚

  5. Today’s AccuWeather Trivia Quiz

When clouds appear like rocks and towers……
    A) Soon you will feel nature’s power
    B) The earth will be washed in showers
    C) Soon you will see May flowers
    D) There will be thunderstorms within an hour.

(This was not their best quiz.)

  6. Happy Mother’s Day to all the mom’s out there

Interesting feature this morning’s 0z EURO creates off the North Carolina Coast in about a week’s time, while pumping in some very warm to hot air into central and northern New England. Wonder if that will show any repetition and consistency in its next few runs ?

    1. your post did not go through at first vicki and i said the same exact thing …. sorry

  7. For those of you that know who Al Kaprelian is, he once said on his phone line forecast: “Happy Mutha’s Day to all you MUTHA’s out there!” in his classic accent. At the office we saved a copy of it and would play it on occasion for a laugh. His message may have sounded funny, but it was meant seriously, and so is mine when I say happy mothers day to every mom that reads this as well as all those that don’t. My mom is 80 and for her age she is in great shape. I’m lucky to be able to share today with her. And as a bonus, the weather is fantastic around here today, like early summer. So what if the sun’s filtered to dimmed out for a while. We’ll see a bit more before the heavier clouds arrive tonight.

And on the subject of weather, I’m going to update quickly now (bigger update later). Going to keep today dry, and remove the showers from Thursday’s forecast. We have a local carnival that comes this week every year (about the 3rd week of May), and most years at least 2 of the days get rained on. It’s running Wednesday-Sunday (at the Showcase Cinema in Woburn in case anybody’s interested). With a little luck, from Thursday on the weather will be favorable. I have a birthday next Sunday, and we’ll see what Mother Nature has in store for that day. We may be watching low pressure to the south to see if it gets this far north…
