Updated forecast for eastern MA, RI, and southern NH…

One change of note, more optimistic for Thursday. No big changes otherwise. Full discussion for the week ahead coming this evening!

THIS AFTERNOON: Sunshine gets a bit brighter before some clouds return by evening. High near 80 many areas, 60s where winds come off ocean water. Wind SW 5-15 MPH.

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy. Low 55-60. Wind S under 10 MPH.

MONDAY: Cloudy. Scattered showers. High 65-70. Wind light variable.

TUESDAY: Cloudy. Scattered showers. Low 56. High 68.

WEDNESDAY: Cloudy. Numerous showers. Low 55. High 65.

THURSDAY: Partly cloudy. Low 51. High 69, cooler at coast.

FRIDAY: Mostly sunny. Low 50. High 70, cooler at coast.

SATURDAY: Partly sunny. Low 52. High 73, cooler at coast.

  1. when the carnival is near by it usually means rain…. and guess what its going to be cloudy and wet but will see temps in the upper 60s to low 70s. Topkatt what do you think is going to be the wettest day.

      1. Matt…not to speak for TK but I would say that the wettest will be Tuesday night through Wednesday morning. My guess would be at least an inch of rain and probably a bit more than that but well under 2″.

      2. At this point I agree with philip’s take on it. Timing may need to be adjusted of course.

  2. We went to the butterfly place in westford with our grandson. He had a blast. It was smaller than I thought it would be but since he’s really interested in butterflies i think worth the trip. Now to spend the rest of the day on the deck!

  3. At least we had a good weekend and it won’t rain all the time during the days it is forecasted to have rain.

  4. Coastal is the glass out of your screen house yet? I just finished taking glass of our porch it’s a bit early and probably will guarantee rain

    1. Hi Vicki, I took the glass out last weekend and installed the screens. I also stained the porch with a cedar clear coat. It looks great now. My wife and I finally bought wicker furniture and tables last weekend too so we are ready for the summer!

      1. Outside clear coat or in. Sounds very nice. We just used a polyurethane on the pine on the porch. Wicker fruniture sounds very nice White or natural? I must say I do love when the glass is out and the outside comes inside 🙂

  5. TK’s afternoon forecast so far holds. The sun is now out in full force although skies aren’t nearly as blue as yesterdays. Up until 1:00 pm it looked rather cloudy with just a teeny bit of sun filtering through.

    Vicki, you definitely picked the better (sunnier) day to ride the swan boats yesterday. I haven’t ridden them in years.

  6. We’ve have a sea breeze since 11 AM in Marblehead, which is hold the temperature at around 70. At least the sun has come out.

      1. Oh I’ve been here and through reading the updates and comments, just not commenting as much as during the winter. Just waiting for us to get some decent thunderstorms.

  7. The pit otherwise known as Logan Airport is seabreezing and in the upper 60s.

  9. Everyone on the South Shore is in Plymouth, enjoying the warm land breeze and taking mom out to eat. It was nice ! With all the people and the relative warmth, I had to keep reminding myself its mid May and not July or August.

      1. I like them all ! 🙂 …….We tend to go to Lobster Hut……..but my favorite place to go is Peaceful Meadows for ice cream. It is in the back of the small area of shops across from East Bay Grille restaurant. Went there after dinner tonight……..yum !

        1. My youngest and husband used to go to one of the hotels right in town there. They love lobster hut but didn’t know about the ice cream place. Yummmmmm

          1. Well. That’s how wrong I can be. Daughter said she thinks the ice cream place is the same one they’d go to. They stayed at the radison and she thinks the shops where the ice cream place is right in front of hotel. They really love Plymouth

  10. Oddly my peonies arrived early and showed buds early but it seems they may either boom on time or late. Go figure

      1. So odd my buds are still tight and only the diameter of a dime but the ants are working hard to open them
