Friday Forecast

11:19AM

DAYS 1-5 (APRIL 14-18)
A little “text book” weather the next few days. High pressure centered just to the west of the area brings a light northerly wind and clear, somewhat cool but pleasant air today, along with an afternoon sea breeze near the coast. Tonight, high pressure crests overhead with clear sky and calm wind promoting radiational cooling. Moderation gets underway Saturday after a chilly start as high pressure slips off to the east. A warm front brings the risk of some showers and possibly a thunderstorm Saturday night then leads in a taste of summer for Easter Sunday. A cold front then brings a risk of a shower or thunderstorm Sunday night and leads to a fair and pleasant Marathon Monday (Patriots Day). A secondary trough coming through Monday night will bring in cooler air for Tuesday as high pressure builds across the Great Lakes.
TODAY: Sunny. Highs 55-62, cooler some coastal locations. Wind N up to 10 MPH but coastal sea breezes by afternoon.
TONIGHT: Clear. Lows 28-40, coolest interior valleys. Wind light variable.
SATURDAY: Sunshine followed by increasing cloudiness. Highs 58-65 except 53-58 South Coast. Wind light variable early, then S increasing to 10-20 MPH by late day.
SATURDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy. Scattered rain showers. Slight chance of thunderstorms. Lows 53-58. Wind S to SW 10-20 MPH, higher gusts.
SUNDAY: Partly sunny. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm late evening or night. Highs 75-83, cooler South Coast. Wind SW 10-20 MPH.
MONDAY: Mostly sunny. Lows 50-58. Highs 65-72.
TUESDAY: Partly cloudy. Lows 35-43. Highs 52-60.

DAYS 6-10 (APRIL 19-23)
A brief warm-up April 19 then a cool-down with occasional unsettled weather.

DAYS 11-15 (APRIL 24-28)
Unsettled weather early in the period then a drying trend. Temperatures start cool then moderate.

    1. Yep, been sneezing with irritated nose and eyes lately. Usually doesn’t start this early for me.

  1. Thanks TK !

Sun doing some work, along with a light 050 degree wind at the harbor buoy. Shallow top layer ‘moderating’ a bit to 46.8F

  2. Thank you, TK.

Wind picked up and is whistling by the windows I have opened. It is 62 here with wind from SW (according to neighbors flag and NNE according to wunder – I’ll go with flag) well into the teens.

    1. When the Jury went 5 days, I knew that would be the outcome plus the question they asked the judge. No matter, he’s in for life anyway,

  3. What a beauty of a day! Absolutely love it! With East wind, we are down to 57 here
in JP. Even so, still very very nice. Zero complaints from this habitual complainer. 😀

    1. Let’s see how far it baaaaaacckkkkks by then but kinda fun to think about. Yes, I know….sad….but I love it

    1. I love how Ch 7’s high temp and Fox’s low temp for next Friday are the same. 😉

  4. Getting a bit discouraged for the weather outlook of next Tuesday thru Friday.

    I should know better ……..

  5. Good morning. Slow these days at good ole WHW.

Starting out pretty mild here as we are up to 57 in JP with DP 43.

    Another beauty on tap.

Much running around today and tomorrow is Easter.

Waiting to watch SNL tonight with Jimmy Fallon hosting with Harry Styles
as the musical guest (and sure to be in a couple of skits as well). Harry was formerly
    with One Direction.

For those so inclined, he has a moving new solo tune out called “Sign of the Times”
Here is a link. IF you chose to listen, really listen as the words are very moving.
