  1. Thanks, TK. Looks as if there will be a good amount of deck sitting this weekend!! Also good weather for the art show on Sutton common.

  2. Tom – loving the info you gave me re Whether data.

Does anyone know what M means in the snow column?

  3. Question which is not intended to be political. I understood that the heads of both NOAA and FEMA need to be appointed and approved. Are there currently acting heads of either department?

    1. Vicki there is an acting head currently Ben friedman. Out of the three of possible canidates in consideration from worse to best. Meyer worse of the three . Rayder has experiance as an assistant to the head under bush. white was an oceanographer for the avy qnd has a degree in both meteorology and oceanography, in my opionion the best of the three

      1. Thanks. Someone posted there was no one so I got curious with hurricane season approaching.

  4. GFS flip-flopping continues. It now shows us stuck in a pattern where an upper-low moves out and is quickly replaced by another one, then another one for the next 2 weeks. It finally starts trying to build the ridge in around mid-month. We’ll see if that actually happens.

    1. Exactly why I won’t follow it lately. It just can’t resolve the pattern. Who knows which one, if any, is correct.

    1. Well, 7 is a very respectable number!! One of my favorites as Mac’s and my first date was 7/7/77

      1. I remember reading about a baby being born on 7/7/77 in some newspaper or magazine article. Not that tons of babies weren’t born that day…just a particular one in the article..but it was so long ago I forget why the article was written in the first place. 😉

        1. It was about 100 years ago…or seems that way

We went to see Mac Davis. Is was the concert I mentioned where that little known woman was his opening act. Dolly something. She is running a theme park or something of the sort now 🙂

    1. There’s a bit of a cap north of I-90. Much more unstable to the south at the moment. No real surprise.

  5. Leaving the Paris agreement is a mistake for more than just the fight against climate change. Several reasons this is bad. Economically International relations, future and current refugee problems do to the cha gi g enviro ment. The copanies that leave go to areas that have crappy living conditions so just decreasing regulations is not the problem.

  6. What an interesting radar. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Although it has been a great evening to sit out and read and cook out. And the on and off clouds are amazing

  7. Had a nice thundershower this afternoon in Coventry, CT around 4. Rained hard for about 5 minutes and the sun remained out the entire time. Kids were fascinated. Storm really blew up just south of us in New London county. Great rainbow weather though I didn’t see one.
